It looks like next gen games will have ridiculous install sizes due to hi-res textures.

High Resolution textures are the new FMV. I remember early CD and DVD games where 90% of what was on the disk was pre-rendered video. It was such a huge thing when developers started rendering story elements directly within the game engine.

And yet AI scripting for these games is still in the stone age.

Last night was complete bullshit - I had pre-loaded over the weekend, and last night it practically downloaded multiplayer over again. The catch was, I couldn't even play single player because they "share resources." Talk about frustrating ...

That's strange, I don't have multi-player installed but I can still play single player.

That's because you only had SP downloaded, probably. IDK what happened, just callin' it like I see it.

Here are some actual in game screenshots, not pre-rendered marketing pics. The game looks as atrocious and ancient as ever. I've read the huge file size is related to in game movies and not texture assets, which becomes obvious when you see real gameplay shots...

Are these yours? If so, what are the graphics settings? Because the images posted by Nvidia are in-game captures as well. Your screenshots have incredibly low texture resolution which is opposite of everything we've heard for the PC/XB1 and PS4 versions.

I am going to try to run this on my Intel E6500 and HD7550 equipped PC. Need to boost up the RAM since I am not interested in using the hack to override the 6GB lock.

The actual game play graphics above do not come across as anything better then Crysis 2 which my system will handle fine at the High setting and native LCD 1980 X 1080 Resolution.

Those are max in game settings, not from my machine though, coming from another forum.

Those nvidia images look like doctored marketing pics. There is no HUD, which is usually a dead give away that they've been prettied up.

Those last screenshots look like Ghosts might suffer from the same thing MW3 did... you have to change your image quality to native from extra... if that's an option lol. Doing that back then made it look like HDTV vs SDTV if I remember correctly.
I can almost guarantee that those are not by any means "max" settings. But no, I don't have the game to confirm this... and doubt I will get it after getting sick of BO2 so fast.

Let us know how it runs, my kid is interested in this game and his PC has a Q6600, GTX285.

From the looks of those pics above, we should be able to run this on our tablets and phones.

Are you sure? Those pictures are quite fuzzy. They don't even look like actual 1080P, though it could be post AA. Either someone doesn't know what "max" settings are (hint: it's not always pushing the graphic setting as far to the right or bottom of the list as you can) or someone is purposely trying to make the game look worse than it actually does. It could also be that those are screenshots from the console versions of the game. I know the PS3 version was notorious for running at sub-720P. It looked about like that.

My guess is the multiplayer is running lower visuals than the single player. I really never expected much from the game regardless. The developers behind COD are not known for their ability to take advantage of the PC and put out technically impressive games.

Watch the video review posted above and you can quite clearly see the visuals are better than the pictures you posted.
