Stupid question. This is true for many things in America.

More people listen to Justin Beiber than The Pixies so I guess it is better right?

Nice logic fail. :)

To the majority at the current moment yes, he is better.

Because there are a shit ton of little kids that play it.
The kids play BF and relize they suck balls at FPS and go back to Harrier of Duty for their easy kills.

BF is an adults game.

Thats your opinion, im sure theres people that would argue that video games in general are for kids, but does that make it true ?

That's arguement doesn't really work. Liking a game is entirely subjective, and the number of people who like or dislike a game is all based on their personal opinion.

Where im getting at is how can someone say mw2 is not a good game when thousands of people play it.

success is defined by numbers and to the majority mw2 was the better game. We're talking about a hundreds of thousands of people with opinions who prefer call of duty.

According to some people on here a game could have a 10 people following and be the best game in the world and that's not how success is defined.

The fact that it is so hard to kill people in BC2 comparatively only shows exactly which way the whiners go. It's only an easier kill in MW2 because I got behind you.

Once again, subjective. Thousands of people are alcoholics but that doesn't make it "good." Thousands of people went and saw "The Last Airbender" but that too doesn't make it good.

this is where you are wrong again, im not just talking about "thousands", im talking about "thousands more".

thousands are alcoholics but thousands more are not

Well, this game may be off my "to buy" list simply from the greed of Treyarch.

I'd heard rumors but Gamestop confirmed it: 4 multiplayer maps will only be included with the Hardened and Prestige versions of the game. If you buy the "cheap" standard version you don't get them (unless you pay $20 to download them).

I understand giving special weapons, themes, colored guns, armor pieces, games, etc...but maps?

Well, they are just co-op maps. Probably for whatever zombie/spec-ops mode they are planning on having. I don't have a problem with that so long as it isn't competitive MP maps.

True, but it's a core part of the game. What's next, restricting the competitive multiplayer portion of the game to people who buy the expensive versions of the game? How about everyone who buys the standard edition is locked at 480i resolution.

It's on Gamestop's page for the game or you can read it on Queasy's Examiner page.

The hardened edition is $20 more. So you aren't getting anything you aren't paying for, whether in a better initial purchase or a later purchase. Sad fact of the matter is that this is becoming pretty typical and your lack of purchase won't change that. And you will purchase it, just like everyone else.

While I get where you are coming from, that isn't a fair comparison. You are getting 4 BONUS maps for whatever mode.

It's not like if you buy the standard edition you just won't get the mode, just 4 less maps. You will still get the mode and however many maps. Now, if there are very few standard maps, I would see that as a problem. But say there are around 8-10 maps, then the 4 extra ones, I would say that is fine.

While i don't like the idea of them charging more i do understand that games become more expensive to make over time and they have make the difference somehow.

As long as then dont mess with the multiplayer or charge a subscription fee its okay with me...

besides this is not something new, in assassins creed 2 episodes 12 and 13 were missing and had to be purchased separately.

Wow, I'm with you Kabob. I'm sick of this freaking greed. I'm one of the biggest COD fans there is. I only play online and I play it a lot. I paid for every mappack in MW1 and MW2. (Didn't in W@W, but I did buy the game). I was planning on buying black ops on day one. But with this news... shit. It just pisses me off. Just like Madden. Games are expensive, $60 a pop isn't cheap. I know they cost more to produce, but its not like they aren't making a MASSIVE profit already. A new COD game comes out every year. Every year they sell MILLIONS off of the same engine with reskinned players, new guns and some slightly different gameplay. Bottom line is its just a greedy money grab and I resent it.

Hopefully the new ghost recon game will be good enough competition that I can buy that instead and not have to pay extra for shit that should come with the game.

Geez, what ever happened to putting your the best product you possibly could. I understand making DLC down the road. But developers are purposely cutting pieces out of the game before release, in order to charge more.

Forgot about Future Warrior, might have to check that out. Although I have grown attached to the gameplay in MW2 so I don't know if I can switch so easily now.

Although I agree it is dumb they are releasing a game once every year now, you all have to admit that Black Ops looks awesome. I will probably buy it on launch day. I've definitely gotten my $60...erm $90 now... out of MW2.

Okay, from what I read on IGN, the four maps are the zombie maps from WaW. So that pretty much confirms the zombie mode.

Still, as long as there are new, cool maps that come with the game, I'm really not seeing the big deal. People always bitch that CE versions of a game aren't worth it, then they try and add stuff to it to increase the value, and people bitch because they don't think they should have to pay extra for it. Make up your mind.

Normally I don't bother with CE editions, you have a valid point. I have purchased only 3 CE editions ever. The first was Chaos Theory, and only because it was the same price as the regular edition. The 2nd was the first Gears of War, wasn't worth it at all. The third was Rainbow Six Vegas 2, which came with a poker chip that I keep in my pocket at all times. I use it as a card guard at poker games :p

Normally ce editions are a friggin waste of money. I could care less about zombies, that is a stupid addition to the game and the extra time could of been put to good use elsewhere. The mp video for black ops looked sweet. I like the rc car and the camera. The camera will be a life saver if used correctly..

Well, looks like EA wanted to get some controversy with Black Ops: apparently at some point you can play as the Taliban and have to kill American troops.

http://www.mercurynews.com/business/ci_15882187?nclick_check=1

There will always be people who are more sensitive to controversial issues like this. Having it be the Taliban, while we still have troops engaged in Afghanistan, is of questionable taste - but in the end, (A) it's a video game and (B) people will always be offended at something.
