If a liberal makes an outrageous comment, liberals on these forums defend, deflect, or downplay. Conservatives attack, inflate, and criticize.

Yes, it's really that predictable and boring.

Just FYI.

A scoreboard at the top of the forum would make it more interesting.

I don’t see how anyone could reasonably take this comment, taken in context, as a call to violence.

I don’t care for this kind of rhetoric (actually I was one of the members of this forum calling for greater civility in our discourse all the way back in 2004), but I certainly didn’t care for Sarah Palin's “Don’t retreat, reload!” either. I can’t see it as anything other than completely hypocritical to act outraged at this remark while defending “Don’t retreat, reload!”

I am, in any case, more bothered by the faux outrage that springs from these kinds of comments than the comments themselves. I think there is, and needs to be, room for irreverence in public expression, and as a nation our sense of humor and tolerance for expression seems to be atrophying. I can’t imagine, say, Reagan (much less Teddy Roosevelt) whining about this kind of thing.

How many times do you need to have it explained that deficits during economic up times and after massive crashes are not the same issues. Too many.

And how many times do you have to be told that in 1999 clinton pushed threw the law that caused this whole miss. For along time I thought maybe Bush had something to do with 911. But noway they had time to set it up unde rbush . Than I got to thinking about the Clinton Fisher ties and that MURDER . The buildings had to be rigged under clintons watch. Bush was the inept fool in the white house when it occurred

It doesn't matter The words were spoken .We can debate forever what was actually said . As the word CHOICE was ment to be taken either way. If you gesture a finger swipe across the throat that is considered a terroristic threat , But that also has more than one meaning . Such as cut it out or stop . These were terroristic threats . GO shooting off your mouth on internet about taking Obame out . Lets see how that works for YOU.

Lol at all the Fox News zombies just posting what they hear over there all day long.

Yeah Faux Noise played this one to the hilt. Get your daily outrage on Faux Noise.

I've been visiting my elderly folks for the past week and they have the tripe on all day. I always thought Faux Noise was bad but I never realized who fucking bad it was.

Your parents have been turned into zombies. They may look like your parents but in reality, they are merely outer shells for their evil hosts.

You need to kill them ASAP. It's for their own good.

It's not only Fuax Noise, all Cable News Stations are a blight to society and are a huge reason for the lack of civility . I wish they'd go away, not by goverment decree but by people getting fed up with the bullshit and not watching them. Unfortunately it seems a large segment of America needs their daily dose of unfetterred outrage so they are here to stay.

It was so much better when Americans got their news via Newspapers.

Yes, because the Democrats never whine.

I love how both parties keep blaming each other as opposed to simply modifying their platforms to get more votes.
