Everything reaches a level of stasis. People want to live there, they move there, cost of living increases to the point where people/businesses have to move out and/or no longer want to move there. You see, if enough people/businesses left CA it would again be an attractive place to move to. It just all balances out over time, ad infinitum.

Californians are not heavily taxed. Our taxes are no worst than most other states.

Californians are not heavily taxed. Our taxes are no worst than most other states.

What is the state income tax %? Sales tax? Gas tax? I see gas prices in California are a lot higher than other states and that price difference has to be some sort of state or local tax.

No, the higher cost of gasoline is mostly due to more stringent production requirements in order to comply with emissions standards. It simply costs more to produce CA gasoline.
