One thing I always thought was funny in SoCal, was all of the people getting attacked by mountain lions. When I was there, there was a great push to distroy natural habitats and replace them with suburbs, and all kind of uproar about removing mountain lions.

Just bought a 1000 sqft condo for about the same price. It's a good investment for retirement though. I've read that most of the people living in places like Montana with huge mansions are those who sold their 2bd/2bth house in CA and moved away to retire on a ranch.

Having lived in the southeast(NC) most my life, and recently moved to nor-cal... I miss cheap rent, big houses, low crime rate, and slow paced living.
Pros of california, eaiser to get goods(electronics, clothes, tons of good food)
but one comment about the girls in CA, they seem very high-maintance, and many of them think they're hot sh!t. (maybe cuz i live in silicon valley, big ole sausage farm USA)
