by the time your done paying a "low" property tax rate on a 2 million dollar townhome in CA, you might as well be in TX.
I won't argue, except to point out that Texas real estate prices aren't quite so low as they used to be.

New York state has a GDP of more than $1 trillion. That's a lot to offer.

I wonder what Texas's job growth will look like this year if oil prices stay low?

So you have a problem with my statement but are perfectly fine with TreVader's claim that the only other state besides California that has anything to offer economically and culturally is NY?

I will take that 1% higher property tax in Texas over California's state income tax that is over 12% on the upper bracket. BTW, thanks to the lovely city property taxes here in Syracuse NY we pay just below 4%.

Obama will probably buy them the car, give them a weekly allowance of $1,000 for gas and car washes, pay for their insurance and buy them a house with a heated garage to keep the car in as well!!!shift+1!!!

The 'Murican burden has just gotten heavier,...

What is ridiculous? It's true, CA and NY make this country.

The rest of you are flyover country. We could easily do without you. You're welcome.

And it's strange he didn't attack the one who is claiming 48 our of our 50 states have nothing to offer economically. Remember, he claims to see things objectively.

I am always interested to hear what posts you think I need to respond to in order to be objective.

He said something dumb, you said something dumb. End of story.

He said something horrifically inaccurate. My claim is actually backed up by data. Your response to me about "New York state has a GDP of more than $1 trillion. That's a lot to offer" failed to mention NY is the third most populous state. It better have a pretty high GDP.

It also has one of the highest GDPs per capita. One that is much higher than Texas, btw.

Your statement was ridiculous.

But ranks 37th in job growth. It's the #3 state that people fled in 2014. My statement about NY with data to back it up was ridiculous, but TreVader's comment that says 48 states have nothing to offer economically was just fine with you till you were called on it. Your objectivity seems to have a little prejudice.

Interesting. So in order to call your posts ridiculous I need to call all ridiculous posts out. Any other rules I should know about?

You're trying to use a single year's job figure. It's dumb. You said that one of the most economically powerful entities in not only the U.S. but the whole world has nothing to offer. That is obviously dumb. Just stop.

It's called picking your battles. I mean damn dude, the guy claimed 48 states have nothing to offer and you thought my post was the one soooooo ridiculous it needed to be called out. It just shows your bias.

Uhmmm, the term "picking your battles" explicitly means you don't call out everything equally. That's the whole point.

I like how you think me calling out your ridiculous and insanely biased statement is actually an indication of my bias, not yours.

Lol.

Picking your battles means you pick the one you think needs calling out. The fact that you think my statement was the "ridiculous and insanely biased statement" about just one state when you ignored someone making the same claim about 48 other states shows the bias.

Lol. Or maybe it is someone making a ridiculous statement about the state I actually live in and greatly enjoy vs. a statement so ridiculous and vacuous that I didn't think it merited refutation.

This whole line of discussion is dumb. You said something ridiculous. Just don't do that and you won't have to worry about getting called out.

Good.

The fact is most Americans are content to voice their concerns online, but will never do anything about it. Real change happens away from the computer. Go to your senators. Demand that they stop this madness, but most will never do such a thing. And they wonder why these type of things take place.

🙂

Your the idiot. You obviously have no problem with people on the left making bigot statements.

You'd rather call out a guy you always disagree with, then the bigot your in bed with.

Mike, I am begging you. please learn this:

Your (possessive) Your car, your house.
You're (contraction of you and are) You're sure? You're going home now?

And they won't give CA residents a CCW unless you were already murdered violently to prove you needed it. They place your gun and CCW in your casket and claim to be PRO 2A. Meanwhile, central americans get free drivers licenses and healthcare.

I just don't understand how the State Government legally can give illegal people drivers licenses. If someone is here illegally are we not supposed to apprehend and export them? yes I know thats being simple. And as simple as that is; where are these folks driving to, They are not supposed to not be be working anywhere. just seems wacky to me.

I suspect the insurance companies pushed this.

Amendment X:

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

They are not supposed to not be be working anywhere.

What is your source to this claim? I do not believe California has such a law.
