No we are sick of you supporting bush's bs and being wrong time and time again and your superior attitude about it.

nothing the right has put on this country has yet to help anyone but the rights interests while we all have to suffer for your blindness.

at least your raygun had a excuse to be such a fvckup since he was almost braindead most of his presidency.

Why must we suffer the same sh1t from bush? you would think a well-educated american

would know better since this is "the best country on earth."

You are a cheerleader of the soon to be most advanced ghetto is all.

They can't get over the fact that they bought into a failed scheme and want to continue it because they think it's grand. Well, after reading this I think I tend to agree with the writer:
Given the demographic changes ahead ? beginning with the retirement of 70 million baby boomers ? don't expect the Social Security system to give out any guarantees or to honor them if it does.

That's something that older generations need to understand ? and which younger generations figured out a long time ago.

Whatever.

The younger generation needs to figure this out. 70 million baby boomers = 70 million votes.

Eliminate the cap in FICA taxes until the system reaches parity. Problem solved.

Why can't this younger generation figure that out?
On top of that raising the FICA cap puts pressure on business's who pay people higher wages. Want to offshore those jobs aswell?
In a word, Yes.

Last time I looked, calling somebody a thief qualifies as "calling names". I guess it makes you feel better. I'm just pointing out that if this were a face to face meeting, i'd call you out for it. I really could care less if your trembling or not, but you would learn a lesson about manners, of which your parents appear to have been very lax in teaching you. :p

Bingo. The reason for "why" to him is that he's greedy and wants to take from everyone else instead helping his own family.

CsG

You both are insane, aren't you. I always knew you were asshats, but I never realized until now the depth of your sickness. I want to take from everyone else, huh. That's absoutley ridiculous. Your just money orientated, materialisitc, sickos. To hell with everything and everbody else.

The really sick part is that you have yourselves convinced you have the moral right to call me a thief. To infer that I don't care about or take care of my parents is just incredulous. My parents are 85 years old, and trust me, they need a lot of attention. You shouldn't talk about things of which you know nothing about. Your talk is as cheap as it gets.

If you arent money oriented then dont take the SS\welfare payment.

If you don't like it here, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

What an original reply, now are you going to stop taking the welfare check? Or are you money oriented and not above the rest of us?

If you weren't such a reactionary, you would have read the thread and noticed that I don't get SS. I also pay self employment tax, which is double what most people are paying.

You will be getting it short enough from what I can tell. You pay double because you own your own business. That isnt rocket science buddy and if you dont like it then fold the business and work for somebody else.

LOL, that's as original as telling me you not to let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Fold the business, simple as that.

If you don't like it, leave. You wouldn't want to hurt the economy by closing up a business, would you??? On the other hand, if you left a more deserving soul could have your job. :p

Byu judging how you conduct yourself on these forums. Your business is probably in ruins. If it folded nobody would give a rats fart.

If my business is doing so bad, why do you suppose I have the time to argue with idiots like you?? I love farming and doubt (barring serious illness/injury) that I will retire until they haul me off to the old folks home.

You never siad, what is it you do??

I think if you have so much time to post on teh internet it speaks volumes about the amount of work you are doing.

Probably on fire right now ;)

You know nothing about farming, do you. What was you said you did?? LOL, you din't say did you. Hmmmm.

Why should yours or anyone elses high paying job be exempt from the offshore pool? I guess those kind of things should only be reserved for the poor and middle class

Maybe after you have had to work 15 hours a week at Blockbuster and 15 hours a week at Walmart because your high paying job got shipped overseas you might pull your nose out of Bush's ass. Not likely...

Glad to see you recognize a culture you are pissing all over though.

Buahahaha - yeah, manners and respect. I can see how much respect you have for the efforts of others when you advocate the theft of their earning's to give to others because they are old. I'm quite sure my parents are quite proud of how I turned out as I am respectful of those who have earned respect and my manners are above standard. Everytime there is an another "debate" between the liberals and reps in this forum I know that it won't be pretty. This thread is a prime example of that.

George Bush has presented his plan for fixing the SS plan. Although it isn't the greatest in the world, it IS a step in the right direction. The liberals's solution to the problem will alwasy be increasing the tax rate for the middle class or (rich Kool aid drinkers as steeplerot always puts it). Increasing the tax rate won't fix anything as the rate will progressively increase as the life expectancy is constanly rising due to recent and long term advances in technology and medicine.

This is my opinion on this. Calling me names isn't mature or acceptable enough for me to anwer the refuting posts. The generalizations on this regards are also not necessary without presenting proof WITH your argument. This is not an argument, nearly a stated opinion. Interpret this post however you like. Arguing is futile in my opinion mostly because it doesn't change the other person's mind.

who proposed raising taxes?

the right not spending like crackheads and flushing our economy would be a big start.

noone wants more taxes, what a myth...

seriously who proposed more taxation?

more responsible spending is what is very nessasary and I would not call that stance liberal by any means.

dunno, if he has a real plan to get us out of the mess temporarily the neocons have put us in then it's worth a debate.

but I for one would much rather see us get the spending under control and wrap up the unessasary wars which are killing us.

you do know that was OBL's plan right? who's side are you on anyway? we ditch the elderly into the gutter that is a victory for the terrorists.

get with the program. he is trying to lower our standard of living and bleed us dry economiclly from war.

just another sign we are losing bush's WoT. the elderly's independence the next victims after how many soldiers now?

what brave sacrfice next? the right has already have indebted our childrens children.

it was not this bad before OBL supposedly forced bush into this war.

must they have to march off to war for our greed also along with taking care of their elders

damn, how much more can we push off before the center collapses in?

Seriously, are you people who support the right on the side of america?

Whose side are you on? 9/11 was bad but not bad enough to throw the country out the damn window.

If you hate the terrorists so much then investigate bush and the former admin's ties to the saudis and go volunteer for special forces so you can paradrop in and pop obl or something.

But don't fvck our own people over and divide the country for some fatasses greed who could care less about you, the working class anyhow.

Go volunteer at a rest home and see the sh1t conditions of our elderly already deal with then come back at us with your rich old people bs.

like I said this is exactly what OBL wants to happen.

infighting has begun and it's you who support the shortsightness who are at fault for

worsening conditions nowdays with your glourious war-march to the american ghetto.

the whole time unashamedly pointing out that you don't want a few pennies pinched for the

greater good of our elders, you make me sick that others in other countries read

this stuff and I have to live in such a self-centered country with you supposedly civilised "people".

My wife and I have an older freind we keep an eye on. her kids all ive out of state, so she has no one else. She used to be a supervisor where my wife worked and we got to be friends. Her and her husband both worked their whole lives, and I'm not just talking 40 hours/week. nobody around here has ever worked 40 hour weeks except upper management. They never had much, but did the best they could with what they had and never complained.

She is living on her SS now and is just wasting away. It's so sad,and we do what we can to help her. They lived their whole lives on deer meat (as do I) and I don't think she can afford any meat except the deer meat we give her. Luckily my Dad and both my brothers love to hunt deer, but they don't like to eat them, so I butcher them myself and there is plenty to go around.

She is not the only old person that we call everyday (and go visit when we have time) just to see if their still alive.

I wonder what it is that Cad and his ilk are doing beside infering they are thieves??

No, I am not sure these people have ever helped another person in their lives, they obviously resent it also.

I can't even begin to tell stories of those in need i have sacrificed for becasue there just isn't enough to go around.

I fear for many as well as my own. One person or family can not take on such great burdens, the very reason why we have SAFEGUARDS (that arent even enough anyway)

To help. But then help falls on the wayside to these peoples cashola. What a waste of a human life. (and I do not mean the elderly or poor)

So much good can be done in this world and look where these peoples priorities lay.

And they say they represent their jesus.... feh

I owe nothing to anyone in this world but am yet willing to share anything if someone is in need.

What happened to this great spirit of caring for our fellow man?

These poeple are spoonfed victims of their rationalized tax theft playing the victim like usual....I hold nothing but contempt.

Good lord stop fretting. You really think they are going to displace elderly? hehe. Peoples like CAD dream is history. The republicans even know it. They voted for MORE SS. More Medicaid benfits. And even in florida where Bush won they raised Minimum wage statewide by over 70% vote in the affirmative!!!

Yup cheap-labor idealogy is dead as a door nail..only way they can get elected is by being democrats and war warmongeriong which appeals to thier more primitve members.

There are many good people here in america.

These people just haven't woken up yet I guess,

I hope what you say is true before it gets any worse though Zeb, but a positive attitude is all we can have as far as I can see.

*fingers crossed*

still won't stop me from pointing out the callousness and inhuman, unchristian ways they preach.

I'm quite sure my parents are quite proud of how I turned out as I am respectful of those who have earned respect and my manners are above standard. However, the thing is - just because you don't like my POV doesn't mean I have bad manners. However,I'm quite sure alot of people would think your rush to physical intimidation wouldn't be considered good manners.

*shrug*

Let's see, you claim two people have tried to intimidate you. Do you think maybe it's something your doing?? Nah, your perfect, right?? :cookie:

Since we're in the name calling mood, now it's my turn. Your just another brownnoseing yes man. Your one of the biggest hypocrites it's ever been my misfortune to talk with. You want to infer that SS is a welfare program, but you have no plan on how to fix the situation except to give you money and let the elderly starve or die of disease. It's easy to complain and whine, but if you want any respect from people, you have to have earn it. Maybe if you were would be willing to came up with plan besidfe the self-serving one you support it would be differnt, but YOU AIN"T GOT ONE. You can take your "to hell with everyone else" attitude and put it where the sun don't shine.

If you need any help with that last part, just let me know. I'd be more then happy to give you a helping hand. :D

I'm not sure why two people think they need to play e-thug, but since you were one of them - why do you do that?

Ah, but there again you'd be wrong. I have offered my ideas and solutions on this forum regarding SS.

Care to make an even bigger ass of yourself by ranting away? :D

CsG

You haven't offered anything except acrimony for the elderly.

Just as the Republicans planned it way back when.

Generational warfare designed to destroy Social Security.

I hope what you say is true before it gets any worse though Zeb, but a positive attitude is all we can have as far as I can see.

*fingers crossed*

still won't stop me from pointing out the callousness and inhuman, unchristian ways they preach.

Yeah...Thier only real hope is to bankrupt the government, which they are trying to do since Reagan..But that will backfire on them like you've never seen before. Instead of 70 years of democratic rule, you'll have 140 years.

Anybody who repeatedly calls me a thief is going to be in trouble in a face to face encounter. Simple as that.

I do believe I said you advocate the theft. But hey, if you and red need to resort to physical intimidation because you run out of substance - then so be it...

First of all how do you physically intimidate someone over the Internet? Secondly I know I never threatened you, all I said is why don't you respond to me here like you would in person. I think you are just being extremely petty especially when I was trying to engage you in an honest and frank conversation without the little insults and innuendos. In fact I thought we kind of came to a meeting of the minds regarding this topic, you know that the best thing to come out of this situation is that the issue of correcting SS was turned into a major issue.

I do know that one side accusing the Baby Boomers and Elderly of being at fault and the other side calling Gen X a bunch of spoiled selfish brats isn't going to accomplish a damn thing.
