My guess is the Lions are going with Culpepper and are going to draft defense with the first pick.

Same here. A defensive player is a much better decision than Matt Stafford. The Lions would be taking a huge risk by drafting him #1.

The Lions have been so successful over the past few years with their first round picks. They would be better off just not drafting in the first round.

Broncos took a (DUMB ASS) gamble and lost. Now they are going to pay.

They have gone from playoff contender to probably bottom of their division. Their offense was good last year and their D sucked. Now they are even again (both will likely suck).

They dont have to make him sit...

While I think AstroMan is right about Chilly, I would love to see Jay in Purple. The vi-queens could actually be a good team with Cutler under center.

We're a relatively good team with shitty QBs. If we got at least a decent QB we could possibly go the distance. It seems the only spot we are seriously lacking in.

Completely agree. Would be great to see Cutler in purple. I don't think he's amazing, but he is a massive upgade over anything else we have right now.

While I would also love to see this, I don't think it's going to happen. The Vikes are the reason for this debacle Denver is in. The Vikes were involved in a 3 way deal that also included the Pats.

The Vikes were to get Cutler, Cassel was to go to Denver, and NE was to get the Vike's #1 pick. Some of the coaches had concerns about Cutler though, so they called it off. Somehow Cutler got wind of this, and here we are.

Stat I saw last night also said that he had the second most 4th quarter TD's and one of the lowest 4th quarter INT stats of any QB last year. Not sure where the comment earlier about needing somebody to throw more 4th quarter INT's came from.

This is such a bullshit, misleading stat. Consider that only 13 teams AVERAGED giving up less than 21 ppg and you see that it is smoke and mirrors.

Arizona was 28th in the league in scoring defense and they went to the Super Bowl. San Diego gave up over 21 ppg and beat Denver for their division.

The year that Indy won the Super Bowl, their D gave up 22.5 ppg and ranked 21st in yards per game allowed.

The problem is that Cutler looks great when the D does (surprise! What QB doesn't have a great record when their D puts up great games) but can't hold up his end of the bargain if they struggle.

Cutler went 2-5 last year against teams that DID NOT make the playoffs. But he, his agent and the idiot press won't let that out cause then he just looks like the whiny bitch with the big arm, bigger ego and infant-size grasp on reality that he is.

yeah he had like a 95% 4th qtr rating, only 4 picks but...

11 red zone picks, including 6 in his OWN red. that's rough, almost inexcusable, even for a gun slinger.

Broncos say they want 2 first round picks and a starting QB.

This is offer comes from a team that is bargaining from a point of weakness in that they are forced to make a trade now. I'm sure offers are pouring in.
