What about this scenerio?

30 million Mexicans legally earn their citizenship, become the largest voting block in the United States, elect 300 Mexican-Americans to Congress, and propose legislation that tears down the Fence. A weak President wanting to pander to this new largest voting block signs the bill into law, making illegal emmigration to the USA the easiest process in history.

It may be common practice to speak English but there are no laws prohibiting the use of other languages by the government or businesses.

I'm amazed how the human spirit and will is constantly and consistently underestimated. They'll just find another way, they always do. I don't think we American's realize to what lengths illegals are willing to go to just to get a better life.

Not saying it's right or wrong, it is what it is. We have something they don't, and they want it. Improving one's life situation is, in my opinion, the strongest possible motivator anyone can have. Some of these people leave homes and loved ones, risk their very lives just to make it to the border, and we think some little fence or wall is going to stop them at the end of their journey?! Not likely. Don't underestimate them.

Another poster, said it best, "What a waste of money". Will this war on illegal immigration = war on drugs? Time will tell, I suppose. Now what was that quote about those that don't know history are doomed....

Anyways, good luck with that wall. I'm sure it will make someone some money...probably not the taxpayers though.
