The game has only been out about a month now and the talk as already died out for it. Am I the only one still playing?

It's not just this game - it happens with most. Especially around this time of year when the bigger-name titles come out. After a month, games are old hat.

Got all 1000 achievement points. The only reason to keep playing is to find better weapons. Playing to 50 with other classes isn't incredibly appealing to me.

I really wish there was a "Level 50" section of the game, where you would need 4 players, all level 50, to enter, and the enemies were ridiculously tough - like WoW instances. The bosses don't drop good enough items, and farming chests is stupid.

Hit lvl 34 & made it to Salt Flats last night. Is there another hub/city like Fyrestone & New Haven coming up? I've ran the chests in New Haven a few times & keep checking the vendors but I'm not much luck getting higher lvl gear.

Bad news, the weapons are going to kind of suck until you beat the game. That's what my experience was. The drops I was getting at your level seemed to be a lot of stuff in the 28-33 range. Some of it not bad, but nothing outstanding.

Once I beat the game and started the second playthrough, the quality of weapons really picked up.

Other than a good shock damage gun with a scope you don't need anything good to beat the game. The last guy is stupidly easy. The hardest part is getting to it because of the flying guards with huge shields.

the dlc is suppose to scale to your level.

Just to follow up, I was playing last night and the zombies were level 51 (I'm level 50).

Some quick thoughts about the dlc

Claptrap's comments are still funny
The arena before you first meet Zed was crazy fun, I wished there would have been more areas like this throughout the game.
Zombie puke really messes up Brick's vision in Beserker mode.

I thought the zone is too dark, I had to up my brightness so I could see.

Played through it last night with a friend, it was a fun addition. To add to the discussion of level, it autolevels based on average party level, or so it seems. I was 50, my friend was 37, and the zombies were mid 40s. It was too bad my friend wasn't higher level for a bit more of a challenge, I kind of walked through a lot of it.

The Braaaaaaaaains quest was a grind, but other than that it was in line with the quality of the rest of the game. Good atmosphere. Crazy amounts of drops, it seemed like every other zombie dropped a weapon. If they put out another add-on, I'll definitely pick it up.

Working on 2nd playthrough and I've got my fingers crossed that it will happen soon, hit lvl 40 last night.

I'm still using a Purple lvl 19 CR (Dmg & Acc in the 90s, Refire close to 9 and it has a scope). Got a higher lvl one that had the same name, but different "model numbers" that had dmg in the 140s but the refire was less than 5 and no scope. Tried it for a bit, but went back to my older one.

I used a purple shattering mauler for the longest time. It was lvl 28. My favorite gun by far. Kicking myself for selling it now. ggrrr.

I'm not suggesting you are doing this, but I know that when I started playing I basically just looked at damage and firing rate above all else. I later realized that elemental weapons almost always have much less damage listed, but can actually be far more powerful. I'm sure I dropped great weapons because they had lower stats than what I had, when in reality they would have torn through enemies.

This is less common with assault rifles than it is with shotguns, though. I don't think I've come across an incredibly awesome long-range assault rifle.

The one I'm using is a purple Glorious Massacre and when I saw the mid-20 version I was going all right. But with about 1/2 the fire rate it took longer to actually kill something with it so I went back to the lvl 19 one.

how do you guys build your brick? should i go rocket or berserk? i am pretty good in aiming.

Hey famous, coming out to the Borderlands? I actually haven't tried brick yet, went roland for my 1st char, but he will be the one I go for next.

I did the same in the beginning when inventory space was so tight. I noticed that elem weapons dmg seemed low compared to others, I started thinking that maybe the dmg shown was bullet dmg only and didn't take into account the elem dmg.

Maybe I'm a little late as I haven't read through the entire thread, but are you guys aware of weapon duping in this game. My buddies and I are always sharing guns that we run into.

My legendary combustion SMG was the best weapon the game from what I have seen. I had a similar sniper. They both do x4 fire damage. I could just roll through anybody with my soldier mods.

it was a sale that i couldn't refuse... anyway i will see to pick it up when there's a chance

That I can understand. Lately I haven't payed close attn to the pc side of games as my old pc is past due for either a massive upgrade or get replaced and don't have the funds to sink into either for now.
