Can you do that when you first start the game on play-through 1? The game only gives you access to them in Sanctuary after quests and such. :$

Just checked making a new character and wow, no it is not there to access right away. WTF is all I gotta say.

So does that mean that you don't get bank access until you save Roland and you don't get shared stash access until you do that inane Claptrap "quest"?

All I can say is... it's still possible to load up two clients at once, right? :p

I'm not checking all that :p

I am surprised you can't access that stash at claptraps though with a new character. I found it the other day when I was doing cult for the vault there and was like oh cool.

No idea when it actually unlocks in that spot now, silly it isn't from the get go once you unlocked it with one character.

New shift code. KJK33-XFZ6H-F3BBT-3BBJJ-WTXR6 2:00 pm Eastern time. Timed for Europe so they aren't at work. Works here in the US, also. There will be keys later today supposedly, timed for the US.

Is there no way to redeem shift codes without being in game? Doesn't appear you're able to through Shift's actual site even.

Is there a way to expand the number of slots in claptraps stash?

Not that I know of. But why would you? Four slots is plenty! :p

No. I use Splashtop to connect to my desktop just to enter codes when I'm not at home. :|

I have 4 characters at the moment, from different coop sessions and my main playthrough. I would like to leave awesome guns, shields, grenade mods, etc, for my other characters. And sometimes the level required for some items will take awhile for some characters to use, so they are taking up slots. But they are good items, so I dont want to let them go.

If it isnt' legendary or level 50 don't sweat it imo

Eh, I disagree. It's nice to have good items while leveling too. Hell, those crummy Gearbox pre-order only start weapons are actually really nice when you're first starting out. In the beginning, you just get a pistol, but with the start weapons, you get an assault rifle, sniper rifle and a SMG. Much better than that crappy pistol. :p

Oh, I was just being sarcastic. I agree that four is way too small, and it's honestly a glorified trade window more so than an actual shared stash.

You out level stuff so quickly it isn't even worth the hassle really. The only none 50 or legendary items I found that were still useful at 50 were artifacts because some of them seem to be a true PIA to find the higher level version of. I used a lvl 28 artifact that increased SMG dmg by 16.1% till yesterday when I got one that increases it by 26%.

Every other thing, weapons, nades, shields, class mods all got replaced often and quickly playing.

I tend to agree. The only thing I've really passed along that I've used for more than 5 levels is a relic that gives 39.6% extra HP (Zer0 is squishy -- sad but true).

Well, I'm not expecting to use something for 10+ levels, but 5-10 is fine for me. I've actually been using the same Longbow + MIRV + Corrosive + Transfusion grenade for about 8 levels now, and I'd like to pass that on since it's a really nice item. Well, once I stop using it that is! :p

I alternate characters just about every time I play, so its nice to have some decent fallback items to use. I know since there are weapons all over the place I should just let them go, but I prefer to keep them for awhile. With one character I am at level 20, and I was still using a level 9 assault rifle that does explosive. I hadn't really found anything better to replace it for awhile. I finally got something I could replace it with, so I want to pass it along to my other characters. It was a good gun...helped me beat a level 19 mission when I was level 17!

Yeah, the starting weapons are nice. When I started a new character for coop, I gave one each to my buddies, and I used the default pistol. It helped break them in. That SMG is pretty crappy though, but its better than nothing.

Yeah. I tried the Assault Rifle first, switched to the SMG, and went back to the Assault Rifle immediately. The SMG is just junk. I'm surprised that they didn't provide a more interesting mix such as Sniper Rifle + Assault Rifle + Shotgun. Two automatic weapons like that just seems... not good.

I wasn't able to replace the Sniper Rifle until level 5 when I could use the one that Hammerlock gave me, and I replaced the Assault Rifle with a decent random green that I found doing the Symbiosis quest (so around level 6 or 7). That Sniper Rifle really made the difference during the beginning though. I just decimated Knuckle Dragger with it.

I was JUST confirming that the old code (from 2PM EST) wouldn't work, when I refreshed this topic to see your post. Thanks!

Does this get better? I got the robot his eyeball back, did a couple quests for that Teddy Roosevelt-looking dude, and pretty much am bored with it already.

Yeah those keys are really only useful earlier on, late 20's -30's.When you hit level 50 there are far more useful weapons to be found. I saved 2 keys for once I hit 50 and was disappointed.

No. The whole game is like this.

I disagree. The game starts to open up after you reach Sanctuary, but you really start experiencing what can make the game more fun when you actually get decent drops. In the beginning, you're using awful pea shooters and honestly... it's mostly just a mediocre shooter experience with amusing dialog.

Level 45 and just used a golden key I got today. Ended up with an assault rifle with 4700 base damage, 90+ accuracy, nice scope, 1700 burn damage/sec and 53 round mag with a 10.0 fire rate (full-auto). That beats the ever-living shit out of any assault rifle I've found in the game so far. Also got a decent sniper (8600ish damage, shock elemental, burst fire when zoomed) but it still doesn't beat my 9.7k Jakobs with +180% crit damage unfortunately.
