Got the season pass and UVM2 over the weekend.

Decided to start with Hammerlock, since it's the one that seems to be the least favorite. Finished the main story on VH with Sal over the weekend, a couple of side missions left to finish.

One is in the final zone and have to track a monster, pretty sure I killed it but I'll have to go back since it still shows that I have to find it's tracks.

The other is one of the early ones that you can get and it's one of my least favorite of the group.
Having to kill specific monsters is one thing but having to hope that a special version spawns is worse.

Did one of the raid bosses, cost close to 100E and will not be doing that again. Don't know if he can drop something special, but that's too much E for now as I still haven't finished buying the sdu upgrades. The quest for another one popped up after finishing the story, got my fingers crossed that he doesn't cost that much.

Bleh, just make the contest available to everyone not just those with dlc. oh well.

This contest was started on the heels of the release of the GOTY release, and more or less directed at new players coming into the game with that. Considering that the bounty weapons are average to only slightly above average, and the upgrades to their stats are pretty much pointless, it makes sense.

That being said, I wonder how many players in the first ~2 weeks of playing have actually unlocked the areas where they can find most of these bosses? I'm guessing, not many.

so far, for me...that is the longest mission in the game, including story missions. some of those are near impossible to spawn. It's only worth it for the XP, so not really all that worth it... ;)

At level 58 and doing it on VH doesn't amount to hardly any XP. Mainly started it on it VH so I can look around while still working on some of the new and old challenges. Got tired of farming Tundra for the melee challenge, so carried it over to Hammerlock. I'll be glad when that's over so I can back to using guns again. Although it's kinda strange, I'm +20 levels above the enemy but at times I'll get 1-2 XP after killing something which I went in thinking the only XP I'd get would be from the missions.

What more do I need to get everything?

Actually I have: Season Pass + Collector's edition DLC + Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 + Psycho Pack

It sounds like you are only missing the Mechromancer (unless that is part of CE?) and possibly the creature slaughterdome?

I don't have Slaughterdome, either...but maybe that is also part of CE?

Cool thanks! Yeah Slaughterdome is not available. Just bought Mechro just for the kicks.
I played a bit on PS3 before I sold it but i'm ready to get back in in PC, better everything :D

Creature Slaughter dome was an exclusive pre-order bonus from GameStop and others:

supposedly...one can gain access to Slaughterdome through some shenanigans, or like...so I heard.... :sneaky:

Anyway, it's not all that necessary. I think it just gives you access to some rare (blue) gear that you can't find anywhere else? I know the Creamer, last week's loot hunt "huge" reward is only found there, but I don't know what else.

Scarlet's DLC is great for very useful blue gear, though: Sandhawk and Evie.

You can buy the creature slaughterdome separately. I bought it through Steam or green man gaming. The one benefit of having it is it makes farming the loot midgets in wildlife exploitation preserve easier. You can start the map right there at the slaughterdome instead of the beginning of the map.

Don't forget about the Rapier from pirate dlc either. It's a must for maximum melee damage with zer0 or krieg (with a good roid shield).

oh right, forgot about the Rapier. I knew there were a few more weapons. I've had one sitting in my Zer0's storage for some time now, but he's still about 20 levels below it, as I haven't played him much recently.

hmm, cutting off WEP farming time would be nice. Though I do tend to find at least one midget in the chests at the starting area with the loaders.

Are you familiar with that little room with the four small boxes just outside of where Bloodwing was supposed to be kept? Each one of those boxes almost always has a loot midget in them, so you get 4 right in that small area (a single room). Just make sure not to finish the "Doctor's Orders" quest, and don't pick up the quest item found within one of those boxes.

When I'd farm the LLMs, I'd just make a beeline for that area. I'd have to fight a few things on the way, most notably the Super Badass Loader (I think is what it is), just before entering the area that leads to where Bloodwing was being held (not where you fight him) and some cages for Badass Skags.

Oh yes, I've done the Doctor's Orders farm several times. I tend to get 1-2 LLM in that loader area at the beginning, the 4 in that small room, and 1-2 in the run between the 2nd stalker area/outdoor skagg area/final loader and engineer zone. I even saw one pop out of a pile of Stalker puke where the cyclone/twister stalkers hang out in that area before the final outdoor skagg zone.

So if you save/quit after farming the 4 boxes in the small room does it put you back at vending machines at the start?

Finally finished all of Hammerlocks missions last night on VH. Now just deciding weather to redo on TVH, (not looking forward to redoing that one side mission I mentioned earlier) or head on to either Torgue or Pirate next, trying to save TT for last.

Yes, but not if you have the Creature Slaughterdome DLC and save/exit inside the Dome, or just outside it.

ah...that might be worth $4.99 actually .... that's a brutal run to get over there....

id recommend doing scarlet or torgue (torgue is funner imo) then going back and doing Hammerlock again later if you wish .... that way your higher level and it'll seem a little more interesting than just replaying now

well, big surprise today considering the general shitiness of the loot hunt event. Today is the end-week loot--The Fastball--the shittiest legendary grenade, and perhaps shittiest legendary in teh game.

however, this is what happened with the buff:

2013-10-25_00001.jpg

Yep--that's a 700% damage buff. larger blast radius than before. This thing is stronger than most--all?--rocket launchers.

get out there and kill the sheriff. she stops dropping them at 8am PCT tomorrow morning. They also come in all elements except slag.

ya, so get this.....we get our first fastball, a caustic , see the huge damage and decide to go for a few more, mainly trying to get a slag...after about 5 tries we got a two fer Maggie out of that chest. 2 tries later we get a goddamn social b1tch out of it.

I think I've got 4 mabey 5 legendaries out of chests in 350hrs of playing and two of those came 10 minutes apart....that had to have been a 1 in 1000 chance?

damn it! I want a fricking Bitch :D

first time I killed her, I get that explosive fastball, she drops sheriff's badge, and I get an incindiary nasty surprise in that chest. ...that is a really nice chest.

I've gotten a corrosive and a shock fastball, which I sold earlier in the morning.

so yeah--give up on the slag because it doesn't exist

OK--now that chest has given me an OP 8 corrosive DVA Stalker...that's now all elements of Stalkers that have dropped for me, 2 of them DVA.

I swear, either I have ridiculously stupid luck with Pearlescents in this game, or their drop rate is better than Legendaries.

Finally finished the main campaign on UVHM, and got an orange drop killing the warrior. What was it??
One of those stupid flakker shotguns, possibly the most useless rare item in the game. I think that was the only rare drop I got in the entire UVHM play through. I finished as Salvador. I have three other level 50 characters, but am not sure I will start another on UVHM. I found it frustratingly difficult, and think it would be even more so without the ability to slag while gunzerking or to regen ammo. I hate to think how many hours I have into this game, I play offline, so I don't think steam tallies the playtime correctly.

Where is the Bloody Harvest DLC within the game? I don't see it installed.. I have the edition of the game where all DLC is included, what map is for the new DLC? I don't see it on the BL2 steam page either under DLC, but it came out the 22nd?
