IIRC, The first playthrough DLC is level 30 or so. Do the 1st playthrough DLC before 2nd playthrough.

so the drops on the loot hunt are pre determined unique/legendary etc? no need to keep farming if you don't get a legendary?

they are one gun--either a blue or legendary it seems. the target should drop it on all kills, I believe. so you only need to kill it once.

we killed Flint 8 times last night trying to get an orange Dog then we finally wised up and realized ther'ye always gonna be blue....it wasn't all a waste though, on our 6th try we got an orange homing storm front out of the vending machine by the bounty board...I almost shit my pants when I saw it in there..

wow--nice. I killed those stupid mutant ninja rats about 20 times before that dropped. It's an awesome grenade.

and yeah--the Dog is a blue item. I think it is the shotgun that drops from one of the Assassins? pretty crappy overall.

Today it is The Emperor--which I once got from a loot midget, I think. I sold it quickly, because I thought it was crap. Still think it is crap.

...and 1,000,000 gun loaders for today. :D

Bounty guns seem to be alternating in rarity, perhaps--so tomorrow will likely be another blue item and Thursday will be a legendary. And the Bosses seem to be going in order of game progression. Though I'm surprised it's one of the assassins today, because that is part of a secondary mission. I would have expected the guy outside of bloodhost stronghold or MadMax/whatever is name is at the end of Bloodshot Stonghold.

ya .... I thought it might have been midgemong next? he's over there in southern shelf....guess they want to move it along to new areas.

I'm digging this loot hunt....it's a nice twist and feels like new content....I can't believe I've been playing this game for almost a year, 3 playthroughs and 300+hrs logged....that's a pretty good value on 50 bucks + DLC$$$....

Luckily gun loaders are everywhere so no need to hunt for the 1 badass Rakk or baddass Marauder in an area.

Last night I had bad luck with Flynt -- 2 kills and both times the Dog went flying off to who knows where. I got the tinder but no dogs. At least I got the contest entries.

I quit doing side missions and just focused on the main story for UVH. Cleared it last night at level 57 or 58, after I farm the warrior a bit for eridium be going back for the side missions.

Thinking about grabbing a point card this weekend to get UVM2 and Tina dlc.

FYI: for those wanting to do the community target today, it looks like the very best spot for Gun Loaders is in Ore Chasm outside of Eridium Blight.

Just activate the challenge, and the first wave of the first tier challenge is nothing but gun loaders. finish that first wave, then save and quit when the engineers appear. Repeat until you've had enough. That's about 17 loaders in ~1 minute.

...remember to use your Emperor.

If your goal is to just play through the game and max out one character and gear them to whatever it takes to finish the various stories, then that's probably the way to go. Tina's is far more developed in terms of story, and actually ties into the main campaign story.

and do be sure to ignore the side missions until you really need to start leveling. Once you activate it, it will be stuck at that level, even though UVHM levels with you. Without the other DLC, you will need to be very efficient in getting to 72.

If you plan on working on other classes and messing around with various builds, you should consider picking up Torgue's and Scarlett's--the gear you get in those is rather nice.

Nice good to know!
I originally bought BL2 on PS3 to play with friends but it lasted 1 month lol...and i'm a PC gamer at the core so I bought it off Steam when it was dirt cheap. Now I have to get the DLCs...

When doing TVH I started ignoring side missions until after killing the warrior. Even though at that time I was at the 50 max I went ahead I did them but waited uptil after getting UVH to turn them in for the mission XP rewards. Came close to jumping to 51 by the time I turned them all in and got the level 50 version of some of the unquie gear. At least with UVH I believe you can reset it so all the mission become available again.

I've sank countless hours into BL1 and now BL2. As to testing builds I start off with what sounds good and change based on what works for me. After that I hardly ever go back and monkey with my skills. Did mess with the UKH and I can see potential but it really depends on the skills picked at least for Sal. I focused on gunzerking duration, cooldown, fire rate and damage. With skills and gear my Infinity pistols can have a rate of fire in the 30's. With the Bee I've seen crits in the triple K digits even against higer level foes. Farmed the warrior on UVH a little for eridium. He was +2 levels over me and it took me about 5-10 minutes to kill and collect the goods. Got a couple hundred E but didn't get a single new orange. His loot drops seemed to have dropped way down.

If I don't get burned out by the time I'm done with Sal, I've got Axton and Maya at level 50 to max out. Never have gotten around to even trying Zero yet.

Been thinking about just getting the season pass if it's still around this weekend. Although since UVH and UVH2 are the same price wish I could swap one for the other since I already have UVH.

Went back to VH last night and was working on some of the challenges. Went through Tundra express and racked up around 200 or so melee kills using roid shield.

Bleh, this contest they have going is the pits. You have to have DLC for some of them. You can't go back and kill guys on previous days to, i killed this guy twice :/

Oh well the install gave me a excuse to finish the game, the side quests killed my focus mojo.

Could a level 20 handle Tiny Tina's DLC, or is it just for high level players?

minimum level for DLC in Normal mode is level 15, iirc. I didn't start them until UVHM, but I imagine that if you start it at normal, while at level 20, you might be OP until the mission levels catch up to you. I'm not sure if it scales to your current level that you start it in Normal mode, or if it always starts at 15 (assuming you haven't beaten the campaign in normal mode)

If you are simply after the day's boss for the Loot Hunt, Mr Boney Pants is just inside the first Fast Travel at Unassuming Docks. So you can start it and probably kill him within 10 minutes or so.

When starting a new guy, I figured I'd test out the DLC early on to see what level it was. When I went to the unassuming docks for the Tina DLC at level 9, everything was level 30.

Oh, OK, then. definitely meant for after completing the main campaign, then.

Hey guys if someone has some time to kill....

-Go to Southern Raceway...
-Head straight down the path past the catch a ride
-stay to the left and there's a little alcove with some RAAKS and one of them is always a chubby but he wont drop anything for us...6 times and 6 spawns but no drops except for an occasional smg clip which I found odd.

just curious if he'll drop anything for anyone else

So, are the Mechromancer and Psycho DLC worth it? I've been playing BL2 since the $10 sale on Steam and am considering grabbing them.

The Psycho is probably my favorite character. The Mechromancer was just "ok" to me.
