There was an insert in my game case that had two codes: the Xbox Live 2 day and the map

It also states on the back of the game case if the map code is included.

Yeah I got the ps3 version with the map. No pre order. Now a days they order so many extra pre ordered copies thats how we ended up with them.

Seriously. I am tired of unloading my entire magazine into someone before I think they even see me, then they end up killing me. I will watch the kill cam, and it does not even show me shooting them.

Did you have anything less than green bars? I find when the bars or yellow or worse it feels that way.

Otherwise this game plays way better than MW3 in the lag comp department.

I haven't had any troubles whatsoever and am doing way better than in MW3, though still not as good as blops 1.

Everyone that bought one of the copies that were orginally shipped for launch will get the code, no preorder needed.

My impressions are a little meh so far, I think mainly because I ended up playing against try-hards and teams a lot of the time.

I'm not a big fan of the lack of Sleight of Hand speed reloads. This is a fast paced game and slow reloads are a pain.

Do you lose your unlocked items when you prestige? I thought I recalled some talk that that wouldn't happen.

I'm starting to feel that CoD is dead for solo players. I can't play anything other than mercenary without running into grouped people, and in mercenary, there's no way for teams to actually balance out between rounds. The developers keep fucking with the playlists so there are HC modes that differ between versions, such as HC domination or HCHQ - two very popular variations. They incorporate game modes like SnD into the mercenary mode which do NOT lend themselves to individuals playing alone.

COD isn't dead for solo players. It sucks right now because all the parties are playing 24/7. Give it some time. But yeah, I stay completely away from Dom right now.

I think there's a fix for the Lag Compensation. When you're about to search for games, hit (X) on 360 and it will take you into a "Search Preferences" screen. Change the top setting from "Normal" to "Best". The way I understand it, "Normal" will throw you into games faster; "Best" takes longer but makes it so you have the best connection.

I found this out yesterday too. I only had a chance to play one gamer after, but it seemed to make a HUGE difference. The prior day 9/10 games I played had terrible lag.

If you buy the Season Pass, which gets you all the map packs at a slight discount, you will now get Nuketown 2025 (and I think Zombies Nukestown also).

Yeah, I know about fast mags and it helps. But SOH in MW3 and SOH in BO w/dual mags were still better. Fast mags + Fast Hands isn't bad though.

You've prestiged the guns or your player and kept all weapon attachments? I'm still trying to find out what you lose when you Prestige your character, or if there's a way to keep some things unlocked?

I've done both, didn't lose any attachments when I started using the gun again. You do lose your attachments when you prestige the gun but that's it. If you don't permanently unlock the weapon you still have to wait to unlock it though.

When you prestige you get 2 things:
- 1 permanent unlock. This can be anything - gun, perk, tactical, lethal (just not attachments for a specific gun)

-1 unlock for one of the following - 1. Stat reset
2. Refund all tokens you've spent so far in the current prestige (not sure why anyone would want to do this but whatever)
3. Extra custom slot

I've been struggling in this one more than I have with blops or mw3.... until I unlocked the m27 and made my classic blops flack jacket+tac mask class. The ultimate stay in one place and wait for the enemy class. It's awesome. For those that hate camping.. sorry.

Stealth play has been difficult with out ghost, and you don't unlock that till 55. So, It's flack jacket class untill then.

I did that before I played one game so I've experienced lag once in the two hours I played last night. Runs great for me over wifi.

Do what you gotta do, man. A win is a win I don't care how you get there. Camping is an overused word nowadays. If you are sitting protecting an objective in Domination, that's not camping, that's doing what you are supposed to be doing.
If you are on my team and sitting in a corner on the outskirts of the map and not helping cap or defend then I might get mad, but other than that who cares.
I've had people send me messages calling me a camper just because I would sit on B flag for an entire domination match and never let the other team take it.

The flack jacket/tac mask class is extremely effective as well. Just remember when you run ghost that it behaves a little differently now. Unless you are operating a killstreak, if you sit still you will still show up on radar. you have to be moving to truly be a ghost.

I see that the killstreaks are done using points now, like 300 points for a UAV (I just made up the value). So how does this work?

Say I have UAV (300), Care Package (450), Bomb (800).

if I score 600, does it unlock both UAV and Care Package but the moment I use the UAV (300), I no longer an use the Care Package? But do I still have 300 points "in the bank" so if I gain another 250 I can use Care Package?

Its essentially the same as previous games however now you get points for tons of stuff. Say your streaks are UAV 350 points, hunter killer 450 points, lightning strike 550 points.

Lets say you get the UAV at 350 and you save it. Then you need 100 more points and you now have UAV and hunter killer, 100 more and now you have 3 streaks which you can select and use.
You won't want to save them though because the points each streak earn count towards your next streak.
So in other words for these 3 streaks you just need a total of 550 points to use all 3 and once you hit 550 it resets and starts over. You don't need to die to reset anymore.

Yes. It's just like the point streak from MW3, if you think about the little progress bar that filled up as you earned points. Only now you don't get a straight "point" for an action as in MW3 or just one kill as in BO1/MW2. I did like the little column of points in MW3 so you had a clear idea where you were in your streak.

Also, I'll go ahead and say it: I wish they would have kept Specialist. That was effing fun.

I am confused because when I play and look over to the bottom right, I see a white vertical bar and it's often in the middle of or past my second Point Streak. Later, I see my final score as being, say 1200 yet I am never allowed to call in any Point Streak, even a UAV. I am not a a great player but 1200 points seems good enough for a UAV, no?

I always thought once that right side bar filled up the kill streak was activated. I think that is how it's suppose to be. If you get more the needed points you unlock the second streak. If you die you can still use the streaks but your bar resets. With maps being so small it's hard for me to get many good streaks.

I miss taking my time with specialist and not having to worry about getting a streak in time before I was dead.

The BO2 streak counter only shows progress towards your individual streak. When the bar fills and you achieve that streak, the streak is lit up on the right and the counter starts filling up for your next steak. See image:

As mentioned, your point streak resets when you die.
