It's fun to watch people argue about stuff that's going to end up being in the toilet, especially when they have nothing to do with their creation or origin.

it';s fun to watch you point out on the internet that something you don't give a dick about nor understand is somehow, now relevant to you.

I propose (for you local ATOT'ers in the Chicagoland area) that we do a taste test of the best reubens in the area; anyone interested?

I don't think anyone makes a good one in NW Ohio anymore :( Used to be an awesome place by my work that closed. ANyone in the area with suggestions? The local idea of a reuben seems to be 2 thin pieces of corned beef with some kind of white cheese, then fry it like a grilled cheese sandwich :(

I have always liked the Reuben at Gorge Point Pub, but I've haven't been there for a while since I'm trying to eat healthier at lunch and going to a pub for lunch doesn't make that any easier.

This is going to sound lame, but I'm in Vegas and I even miss the simple mediocre LA style pastrami joints like The Hat. I found one here but it was rather bland and overpriced.

I have not found any either here in LV. While I like Cugino's and Bobs for my italian fix. For pastrami I end up and Canters in the TI and its not very good.

#19 (ask for fatty if you're into fat) / fries well / cream soda on tap (or a shake if you're into that kinda thing)

corned beef hash on the side if you wanna get crazy.

indeed it was the best pastrami i've ever had

hahaha that's funny... I was in there yesterday also while I was in town -- shortly after noon. Soooooooooo good.

Ya Canter's sucks. Supposedly Carnegie in the Mirage is actually pretty good, but no Langer's. I think there's a place on Trop east of Maryland past Metro Pizza that is more known for burgers that supposedly has good LA style pastrami. Being in LA this weekend I had to even marvel at how we have virtually no LA style burger shacks in Vegas either. You know the ones where you can get a basic decent greasy well sized $3 burger and they always have a Mexican food menu as well that isn't quite Mexican, but can only be described as "burger shack Mexican food."

When they have it, Duckfat in Portland, Maine. Their corned beef is sometimes beef tongue, though, so it's not exactly traditional. Delicious, and with some of the best fries you'll ever have.
