Baldur's Gate....

I can remember playing that game from 8-10 hours a day for a whole summer

I visited every single inch of every map did every side quest, beat the game
then started over and did the same with my own party of 6 when the exp pack came out.
 
only 2 votes for System Shock 2?? boy you guys surely haven't played that game. deus ex was basically based on SS2 style, upgrading character, modding weapons, stealth or all-out attack. the game was a major technological leap over other fps at that time. i enjoyed playing it better than HL, though it's fun too

Great game, I remember playing in a dark room with headphones and getting freaked out everytime i would hear a monkey. Damn you monkeys!
 
I voted for System shock 2,

But Riddick was great and so was Deus Ex. Half Life is pretty much overrated.
 
I never saw this thread before now..... wow huge list... Anyways I voted Xcom: UFO defense, Fallout 2 is #2. Both classic great games. Unfortunetely more recent games will win out because half the people on this forum were in diapers when Xcom came out 😛
 
Generals...I dont think i got any work done for about 2 weeks my freshman year of college because of that game

4) X-Com: UFO Defense, holds tightly to number 4 overall. (so far)
 
Half-Life.

This poll is going to be messed up by people who never played the classics like the original HL.

Half-Life 2 was good but not as good as the original.
 
wow that's one longass poll rofl. My vote goes to the original Unreal Tournament.

that game was fun as hell. fun maps, and it brought me to the FPS and fps online gaming genre.
