Service, quality of the dealership. I'll buy a BMW over any Japanese car companies because of their dealerships. I have had very good experiences, even though I was "only" buying a MINI. They try to bend over backwards for you.

I have been to literally 4-5 dozen dealers. The only ones I have ever felt comfortable in was a BMW dealership. It didn't feel like they were selling me a car.

I've had 3 Porsches so far. Total expendature in purchasing is only $7,500 though. (Third was "free"; traded the first two for it.)

Bought them because they're friggin' fun to drive.

Lucky bastard... The BMW dealer that I dealt with was a snooty little witch that made it sound like I should feel HONORED to pay the sticker price and wait 3 months for my new car to be shipped from Germany

Both of our sales people were great. In fact, the second one even bought Lola the shirt that she had mentioned to him that she had wanted. It was there when we picked up the car :D

i guess you just happen to be lucky.

so in conclusion. if the dealer treat you nicely, make you comfortable, try to help you out and not make you buy a car. you''ll just buy anything?

2003 Acura TL S-type. Bought it because it was cheap, reliable, and got good gas mileage. The first japanese car I've ever owned, and definitely the last. Got it for 29.5k. There was a loaded Accord there for the same price, at the time I thought that was funny, now I realize it just makes sense.

I drive a C-class Mercedes. For me, it was a combination of several reasons.

1) Brand name recognition.

2) Features. Can't really explain it, but having test drove the car it's head above anything japanese. The little convinient things, like retractable cup-holder, built-in self-diagnostics computer, 6 different reading lights, remote controlled windows and sunroof, built in garage door opener. Precission handling and responsiveness. But one of the most awesome things - whenever you drive any other car, you think "It'be kinda cool if they had this feature". With Mercedes - you have that feature. Even though it may seem not really important, you still have it, just in case. And having owned this car for 2 years - I can't drive anything else anymore. I travel quite a lot and therefore have to drive rental cars and it's absolute hell for me. I'm ready to cry from joy when I get back into my car.

3) Lastly - service. I got treated with respect and proffessionalism when I bring my car in for service. Needless to say - all service is totally free, including all oil changes.

Oh, btw - my previous car was Toyota Camry, so that's the car I used in comparison. During decission making process I test drove Mazda and Nissan. MB won hands down.

Nissan Z350 and Maxima are pretty expensive cars. Mazda 6 (loaded) was up there in price too. Have been in Pathfinder and Accord.

if they in fact is the same price. you got a pretty good deal

and i don consider acura car overpriced. ~$32k for the TL compare to BMW 3 series or Benz C Class. I think i'll go for Acura TL. that jus my opinion of course

and whats wrong with it?

i mean i heard Benz and BMW got nice features. Benz have something that remember all your setting (mirror, seat) with one button, so does the BMW 7 Series

but are these little features worth extra $30-40k?

with regards to safety, my dad was rear ended by a fvcking freightliner! The impact led him to hit a Lexus. I took him to the hospital, and he was sore, but nothing major. Had he been in the camry/accord, it wouldn't have been too pretty.
