You, Mill, and Tucker (CNN) all go off about this inferiority complex you seem to have diagnosed Canadians with. Exactly what are we jealous of?

LOL. WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's hilarious. I mean, no one is even arguing that Canada in general sucks, just its sports teams. Then all of a sudden, WHAM. "It doesn't matter, because as long as Canada's SOL according to the UN is higher than most other countries". I mean, who cares in a thread about Canadian Summer Olympians sucking?? Priceless.

It's not jealousy as much as it is resentment of the fact that the US has so much control of what happens to Canada and how we overshadow you in the political arena.

Yeah, I find them both irritating and uninformed regarding Canadian politics. I'm convinced that they only bring up the subject to create some flamebait for us poor Canucks.

CanOWorms is at least somewhat reasonable and can have a somewhat intelligent discussion. RabidMongoose should just leave the P&N forum altogether though. Just lurk for awhile dude and learn more about the issues you are attempting to debate with intelligent people.

I honestly don't care if they're a small minority in the US or not. I just don't appreciate AT members who harass others and attempt to embarass them (I'm not talking about you, COW).

I'm pretty sure RabidMongoose is joking seeing as he admitted to his malicious intentions. My impression is that COW takes things more seriously here. He simply has a different viewpoint than ours; there's nothing wrong with that. He obviously doesn't think very highly of our country. It's no sweat off my back and I welcome any kind of insight he might have regarding what we can do to make Canada better.

I've noticed for a very long time that flamebait threads about Canada are constantly created by the neocons. There's not much that can be done. This is an America-based forum (although Anand himself has expressed his concerns about biggoted people like RabidMongoose in a couple of his blogs). The neocons can't deal with the fact that our nation thrives under a socialist system. It flies in the face of everything they believe, and their world would come crashing down if they had to pay higher taxes. La plus qui change, la plus qui reste la meme.

Yes, isn't it hilarious? This is the type of person that we are dealing with! Blind nationalism has corrupted his thought process. People like Stunt and Sickbeast need to take a few steps back from blind nationalism. How can anyone randomly start talking about the UN in an Olympic Games thread? What kind of disease compels someone to do that?

It is pretty obvious that both of them are children that are corrupted with blind nationalism. Once you confront their remarks or actually present them with *GASP* facts, their nationalistic tendencies burst out in full force. These people are not capable of actually participating in a discussion or argument of any sort outside of what their favorite Pokemon character is.

At least SickBeast has admitted to his mental deficiencies, inferiority complex and his blind nationalism. I suspect that Stunt has recently sought psychological help to deal with his problems as well.

STFU and stop making up BS. What do you do for a living? You want to compare mental prowess? You probably work at Taco Bell. You can't even spell.

Inferiority complex, no. That issue exists solely in your imagination.

Blind nationalism? I think not. You're the one who responds to my comments like a parrot. You obviously can't deal with people who disagree with you, and are only here to harass other members. If you think I'm closed-minded and not open to other people's ideas, you haven't read a single thing I've written in this thread.

You seriously disgust me, dude. Keep this up and I'll be requesting a vacation for you in FI.

Oh, consider this a lesson to stop making up BS. I have never admitted to 'malicious intentions'.

So now you are being a bigot towards Taco Bell workers? You can't even form coherent statements.

Inferiority complex, no. That issue exists solely in your imagination.

He who is infected with such a disease will not likely admit to it.

I am fine if you disagree with me. That is a fundamental difference between the two of us. You want people to shut up while I openly support people to discuss their views.

You seriously disgust me, dude. Keep this up and I'll be requesting a vacation for you in FI.

Is this how you 'argue'? By threatening people? This shows your irrationality and your inability to actually discuss anything with people that disagree with you. Someone disagree with you? Threaten them!

I will never threaten you. Although we disagree and you are severely blinded with nationalism, I will never call for you to shut up or threaten you in any form. I am not one who is prone to violence, but I suspect your nationalism steers you to such a direction.

I told you to stop posting because you're not even remotely informed about Canadian political issues, it had nothing to do with whether or not I agreed with you.

You need to learn some reading comprehension. It's critical in a forum such as this.

Yes you did. Let me dig it out just to show you how poorly you comprehend even your own written english.

I am interested in seeing you make a fool of yourself.

You stated your motives quite clearly.

Ah, yes, you wish for me to shut up. Why do you think I am not even remotely informed about Canadian political issues? Have you brought up any facts for this? I have brought up facts for my position.

It is plainly evident that you wish for me to leave this discussion because we are in disagreement. You are not capable of actually countering my claim - instead you throw a random statement at me that has no basis whatsoever and use this statement to cry for my leaving.

Although you seem to have absolutely no knowledge about politics, economics, science, and so on, I am not going to threaten you. Instead I would discuss any comments that you may have brought up.

I am not a child. I wish I could say the same for you.

Violence? Ok there.

What I said wasn't a threat; it was a promise. If you continue to harass members of this forum, Canadian or otherwise, I WILL report you to the mods and stir up a hornet's nest. You shouldn't be here to embarass or harass people; you should be here to have intelligent discussions and learn something. From what I've read, you're sorely lacking in intelligence, so I'm guessing you just avoid coherent conversations altogether and resort to harassment. I'm saying that people like you aren't welcome here, and I'm certain there are countless other members who agree with me. Keep it up and I will bring you to the attention of the moderators.

Yes, because I am not going to threaten you like a common street thug. My primary intention is not to see you make a fool of yourself - but to actually discuss the topic at hand. Your making a fool of yourself is a byproduct of any conversation with you. It is interesting to see such idiotic remarks from you, but I will not call for you to shut up.

I am not harassing anyone. However you seem to be harassing me with your initial insults towards me and now your threats against myself.

This is indicative of the problem that I have revealed to you - you are irrational when others have a different opinion than yourself. Anyone that disagrees with you is now harassing you and you threaten them.

Actually the topic of the inferiority complex is very well suited for the original post. If such a topic upsets you, perhaps you should have prepared yourself better to face some opinions.

I have already stated that it was my opinion. I realize that this may be shocking to you, but people are allowed to have opinions - even ones that *gasp* differ from yours! People are even allowed to express their opinions and facts backing them up without having to worry about threats! Isn't it amazing?

My facts were brought up for the case of Canada severely depending on the US more than the US depending on Canada which I use in my statements of some Canadians having an inferiority complex.

I stumbled into this thread because it was a Hot Topic on my "today" (or "my forums" or whatever the hell they feel like calling it every time they upgrade FuseTalk) page. Anyhow, I kind of skimmed through the first couple of pages and it made me smile. Why? Because any thread that mentions Canada still has the same pattern... and here it is:
1 - Some mildly negative comment is made about Canada
2 - brief discussion that actually relates to the OP
3 - Some Canadian decides that the accusation is completely unfair and bashes the US (usually Stunt, but from what I have read, his comments were quite rational for this type of thread before phase 4 began)
4 - RabidMongoose and (usually) CanOWorms start going on about how Canada has a massive inferiority complex and the US is in fact vastly superior to Canada in every measurable sense
5 - Thread goes to hell in a handbasket

As a side note, I think the author of the article (and a few posters in the thread for that matter) fails to realize that the reason that Canadians seem to be so obsessed about the US is because they are American. Really, doesn't it make sense that Canadians would speak more about the US to an American than they would to each other? That's not to say that Canadians don't talk about the US anyway, rather that they do it much more often to Americans.

Yes I know, RabidMongoose, I'm typing this post because I have a raging inferiority complex...

You forgot a very important stage.

The diehard nationalist Canadians come out in full force and start going crazy. The problem is that any criticism of Canada is taken as a personal insult. They start forming lies (just as you did right now), rejecting blatant facts, etc. Simply saying 'Canada is highly dependent on the US for its trade' resutls in rabid nationalistic Canadians attacking such a concept.

Canadians just don't seem to be very tolerant when facing criticism from someone in the United States. Look at your own statements - my saying that a good portion of Canada has an inferiority complex (which ties well to the OP), saying that Canada's trade is highly dependent upon the US (again very related to the OP), and that many Americans have a superiority complex somehow equates to 'The US is better than Canada in every respect'.

When you have rabid nationalists on this board that are even willing to start talking about the UN in an Olympics thread, then you know that these people have problems.

While you try to come off as some sort of superior moral authority, it's clear what your true intentions are about.

In the end it's pretty clear that many Canadians want to be critical of the United States, but cannot tolerate an American being critical of Canada. I find such hypocritical behavior to be sickening.

Canadians and Americans are exactly the same.

The trouble is our governments tax liquour, leaving us all in such a worthless state that we fight about silly crap, when we should just be drinking.

I mean what is a world-leading disposable income for, if not for getting trashed?

I think I've only brought up the 'inferiority complex' in one post (my amateur psychological diagnosis post), and it was an obvious joke post. Yet people thought it was a serious post... And just because someone is critical of certain things doesn't mean they think that country is horrible and inferior in every aspect

Isn't that exactly what I said stage 2 is? As a matter a fact, I believe in many of the threads, stage 2 usually takes form of some Canadian bringing up some UN best place to live stats.

Yep, as I predicted in my post, you managed to tell me that I have a massive inferiority complex when, in fact, all I was trying to point out was that because of a handful of members (both Canadian and American) there can never be a rational discussion of any length about anything Canada-related in these forums (which is kind of sad, really).

Feel free to flame me some more, I'm not interested in a flame war.

CanOWorms, I apologize. You were only making fun of Canadians for having ties to England and the Queen, my bad.
