Lost Village and Sea Rigs were awesome. I would really like to see Urban Siege again but add in the Rush/Push style going in through that city and with the destructible buildings. That would be pretty good.

Yeah Lost Village and the Rigs were great. Played many-a CTF on them, but I like large maps with a variety of vehicles. No Fly Zone was great for pilots...

Well I hope this new one has controls more to my liking. I was looking forward to BadCompany 2 then when I played the demo was disappointed enough not to buy it. One thing that I dont like about COD is no vehicles. The first had vehicles and World at War had tanks as far as I know but theyve been slacking on the rest.

Hopefully, this means we should be hearing more info leak out on BF3 soon...

twitter.com/L_Twin: "Big day for #BF3, huge internal EA reveal. What a corporate blow it'll be when the viewers will be unable to work after due to blown minds."

twitter.com/L_Twin: "Management meeting today at DICE, too bad we couldn't hear what any1 said since #BF3 was demoed to press in the room next door. Good effect!

CoD is about the experience of the foot soldier, it's a totally different aspect of the game. Every CoD game has had vehicles though - snowmobiles, HummVees, and AC130s come to mind

you dont like battlefield if you dont like the controls, I wouldnt expect them to change *anything* control wise. sorry

Arsinek's post doesn't make sense to me. What kind of control differences is he looking for? I mean you can re-bind the keys to your liking.

yeah realy.

if they took BF2.

A)redid the graphics.

B) updated the weapons and vehicles to this 'time frame'(not that bf2 is very out of date)

c)added rush

I would be happier than a pig in shit. that means keeping it so moddable for AI etc with the ol bf2-cp 🙂

and of course, its in frostbite to destructible environments.......

bringing over some prized BC2 maps 2-3 months after release would be nice too. they just need tomake them bigger

cuz 64 guys in africa harbor conquest would be INSANE. valdez would be pretty fun like that....but still a little small

Are we assuming the controls will be BF2 or BC2 style?

its not as if the controls are that different beyond the basic spot q in BC2 verse the q-dial in BF2

everything else is pretty much the same

I am assuming its the classic complaint of I cant sprint while 60 degrees to the left while firing.

which shouldnt change in battlefield, ever.

It isn't just the "Q spot", the lack of a commo rose is a huge deal. With BF2's commo rose you can say thanks, need help, say yes/no, a whole lot of stuff.

And I would group things like sprint speed, jumping mechanics, and so on into "controls" even though it's technically not a control.

Basically BC2 seems like it's just overwhelming you with graphics and noise and on and on while BF2 is somewhat quieter and with better tools so you can focus on the fighting.

I'd say that's quite intentional as these games are meant to be different. However, I would expect them to incorporate the improved graphics/environmental immersion and amazing sounds into BF3 as well...just on a much more massive scale. I do hope they include the comm wheel (not to mention working VOIP) so you can simply "thank" or "affirm" a teammate. I loved this simple communication.

yeah.

I saw saying the only real difference between the two is the comm-rose vs q spot. I miss the rose and the commander

I don think the jump mech ETC are really any different. beyond no prone.

I meant the way the character moves. Lack of prone, no looking to the side while running, etc.
