Yea, that's what we been discussing over on the EA UK BF3 forums. I was thinking that jets could have to land to rearm, which would take them time and would reduce the jet whoring that causes them to get 100 kills per round(out of only 300 tickets for 64 players, but really more like 200-220 after you count ticket bleed), but to compensate they would get 1 salvo of general purpose(unguided) bombs, and 4 laser guided bombs(individually dropped) that can respond to laser designation requests from ground troops. In this manner, if the jet reliant player tries to rely on constant bomb spamming of his unguided bombs, it will slow him compared to BF2 since he will have to constantly land to rearm them. However, if he goes the teamwork route and uses his LGBs to help ground troops, it will make him perhaps even more devastating than in BF2. But there would be less reason to complain about jet whoring in that situation because the infantry shining the lasers would be just as much a part of it as the pilot. After a fashion, anyway, but they would definitely feel more included instead of just cannon fodder to get bombed.
