10lbs of what in 30 days? You don't need to eat 4500 calories a day at 155 to put on weight. Not unless you're burning a bunch of calories doing something else(job/fapping/cardio/etc).

Certain body types do. As you can read from above, I've plateaued at 155.5. I'm what the scientific world calls an ectomorph. Hard to gain any weight for me unless upping caloric intake significantly.

how long have you plateaued? when was the last time you backcycled your calories. When was your last deload? How much rest do you get during the week? What kind of workouts have you been doing? Not saying you're wrong but jumping straight to 4500 calories isn't exactly the best way to put on weight either. I'm an ecto too.

Nuts/beef jerky are good ways to get in calories. Instead of egg salad, you could mix it up with a regular egg sandwich. I would throw some fruit in your diet also because it's cheap and healthy for you. Maybe something like 1 cup of oats + a scoop of whey + a cup of blueberries. That's about 300 + 100 + 70 calories = 470. Or add in a banana instead of the blueberries for extra calories.

work out regularly and stop using stupid sh*t like protien shakes unless u are a real body builder, other wise u are just tossing money away doing things to "pretend" you are a body builder.

You're tryin to gain weight and your eating Peanut butter sandwiches and drinking protein shakes? bleh!!! That's the wrong way to do it.

I am a fat person, so I am very good at knowing how to gain weight.

The best way to do it, is to eat real food!!!
Eat 24+ ounces of steak, along with garlic bread and mashed taters. Then, finish it all off with half of a pie or cake along with some ice cream. Don't eat 5 small meals, eat 1 or 2 really really really big meals. That way, your body will go into "starvation" mode, and conserve it's calories.

I can do this in 2 days. I can't believe you guys have to eat until you puke. Life not fair.

Calories, calories, and more calories. It sounds like you have a VERY good metabolism, so you need to take in more calories than you think you need.

Also, more of that mass gainer and more meats.

Rip the top off and just pack away 10lbs of lard. No taking 30 days. Boom, done.

the idea of whole milk intrigues me, because I would like to gain weight as well, but like the op, don't really care for a pot belly.

protein shakes usually include milk in them, why not just put the whole milk in the protein shake?

you don't think they work? I use supplements and they seem to help me, especially since I sometimes eat lunch 2 hours after I work out.

Serious answer :

Creatine, Anadrol, Testred, HGH, crapton of complex carbs and protein. Go for burnouts on lifting (start at comfortable rep, increase weight 10% each rep until you literally can't move it). Rotate muscle groups so that each major group gets 1 day on, 1 day off, cardio every 3 days for 30 minutes, split between running/swimming if possible.

If you can't get / don't want HGH, Anadrol/Testreds, then you'll still see momentous improvements, they just may come a little slower, and the ceiling will be slightly lower on max weight. It sounds like you're young and have a high metabolism, so if you stop the routines, you'll slim back down pretty quick.

Also note : Anadrol should never be taken for more than 2 weeks imho (hard on the liver). Anadrol, Testreds, and HGH are also invalid for competitive sports and will get you banned. So please adapt my advice above for your purposes.

What type of body type were/are you? Ectomorph? Mesomorph? Endomorph?

Hmmm sounds you have the type of body that just doesn't want to gain weight.

In which case there is only one solution - eat like crazy and eat whatever you want. Ice cream - check. Cake - Check. Chocolate - Check. KFC - Check.

And then lift heavy and sleep alot.

Voila.

But you probably will go back to being skinny eventually just naturally.
