Went to my youngest nephew's high school graduation. Makes me feel old lol. It feels like it was not that long ago that I graduated myself.

I finally have some resemblance of a KVM console in my server room. I installed a monitor on the wall that gets UPS power, HDMI, VGA and USB coming to it and the other end hangs at the back of the rack and can reach any box. A rackmount console would be nice but holy crap they're expensive. I can't justify that for the few times I use it. It's mostly for OS upgrades/install, troubleshooting if a system goes down hard etc.

Been meaning to virtualize one of my servers but not having a kvm console makes this harder so now I'll finally be able to do it. It does have IPMI but you need a Java plugin and that's a pain in the ass to setup.

Every time something new is under construction here people speculate about what it might be and the joke is always that it's Dairy Queen or Costco as the odds of us getting either of those is slim to none.

Well turns out this time we may actually be getting one, at least the people saying it's Dairy Queen really seem to be serious this time.

We actually did have one way back in the day but it closed. It was a convenience store for a while and then got torn down and it's a hotel now.

Still experimenting this week. Sauteed the baby bella mushrooms with cracked salt and pepper. Adding fresh garlic and rosemary at the end. Hand-sliced pepperoni, ground beef, (those) mushrooms, heavy on the (my own) tomato sauce, fresh grated Romano, fresh sliced Mozz and Provolone. 7-minute bake. 2 minute at max temp bake, the last 5 minutes on high broil. Didn't get a lot of rise out of the crust ends. I'm OK with that. It was the last in the batch. A little crushed red pepper makes it 🤌 Going to purchase some new yeast before the new batch. Looking forward to it!
