I think I'll be stuck with A/S for at least a year before I can gather funds to get pure summer tires. Sucks, but I don't have much of a choice.

Well, I sorta do. Summer wheels and tires, or the new shed.

I've become skeptical again about FX-R's fitting into upper bay.

I know the lower bay is an effortless fit... although, then if forced to the lower bay, despite the added $70, I'd rather get the TL/ZKW-R combo, because I really like Acura projectors.

I've almost convinced myself to go for the WS-70. Just a few doubts remaining, and they cover the Conti EWC, Mich X-Ice, LM-60, Hakka R, and Alpin 3. :/

I've put together numbers that suggest if things go right on the retrofit, I'd need about $300, which translates to about 40 hours at work.

If those lights get to equal or better the G37x, and the G37x lights really were as good as my memory believes they were, then that's totally worth the $300/40 hours.

January... 20 days... 50 miles roundtrip per day, yeah, that's 1000 miles. A thousand miles of brutal highway time for a snow tire. Especially with a fast car and a spirited driver. But if it turns into a January like last year, with some five feet of snow, it'll be super fucking awesome.

Also, it's 1 AM. Class at 10 and noon, I have a feeling I'm not going. Because 10 is too early now, and noon just wipes out the center of the day.

Minimum driving... about 20 miles per day, round trip. Averages out to about 22 days per month, call it 25 easily, and we get 500 miles per month for school. Figure November, December, February, and March. There's 2k, and January alone represents 1k. That's assuming just minimum driving figures, no wandering, for which wandering...

750 in 3.5 weeks, means 340 minimum figure. Then minimum is pretty unrealistic, but still, half of my driving in the last 3.5 weeks has been more or less unnecessary.

I can't figure out how to queue renders so I can't sleep

Each render is taking 20 - 30 mins :\

So even if my roaming gets slashed by winter weather, I'd guess I'll still rack up 4000 miles in the winter, easily. There's a third of the tires life. So yeah, I guess I can get three seasons from WS-70's, unless I get nice summer tires, then the switchover might get pushed out, and it'll cut the WS-07's lifespan by a half season.
