Some serious shit going down in my city... yet again. Seems to be a normal occurrence these days. A section of town closed off and cops all over, with spike traps and everything. Not letting people in or out of that area.

Finished the tree, rest I will hire out, as it will be way easier to put those branches through a wood chipper anyway. If it ends up being a couple hundred it will be well worth it.

Next project is my deck. Been wanting to work on that since last year and something always comes up on my days off or the weather ends up sucking (ex: rain). Right now it's been brutal hot so not exactly pleasant to work in but better than rain.

Did t know what NEF was and searched the first page or so a bit.

Can I just ask who in the fuck actually goes in to Urban dictionary and actually adds shit like NEF? Like seriously, unless you're on the forum I can't imagine anyone that cares.

When I was on help desk we used the word "furrnt" a lot, I don't even recall who came up with it first, but we added it too. :p

I also forgot about the domain I also registered. I thought I let it drop but I guess not. http://furrnt.com/

I should probably go start on my deck. It's so freaking hot out though. And I'll be right in the sun. At least with my tree I was mostly in the shade. I might jerry rig something with a tarp to provide shade for the area. But that in of itself is going to be lot of work and that time could just go towards the deck.

Yeah screw that, not doing the deck. Suppose to be even hotter tomorrow. 39 with the humidex. I think I need to use this time off to work on some well overdue coding projects or something else I can do from the comfort of my AC. I feel bad for anyone that does not have AC right now. All AC units of any kind are all sold out too.

Just went out to look at removing my hitch as I wanted to do that, I managed to get the bolt out but the hitch itself is seized. About 20 minutes of work and that's enough heat for me lol. I should just zip tie where the bolt goes and drive around, our roads are so rough it's eventually going to come loose lol.

Yeah we're having quite the extended heat wave. Don't think I've ever seen anything like this, I've seen a couple days of heat wave and maybe a week but then it's followed by a thunderstorm and then everything cools off for a while. I have a feeling we will be in for one hell of an epic thunderstorm when it does hit.

Got my new aluminum low profile floor jack today. This thing is MASSIVE. It took a bit to figure out how to remove the spring wire that secured the jack during shipping. I read some comments online that said beware of the force of the yoke. The included instructions were probably a Chinese interpretation. A wrong interpretation. Good thing I could figure it out. The force of the yoke when unsprung was underwhelming at that point. The thought of loseing a finger made me take my time. LOL

Once, I was able to secure the handle to the yoke, I was in business. It easily reaches max height in 12 pumps. The long lightweight aluminum handle provides good leverage. I saw a video where this jack lifted a Jeep Wrangler off the ground with 6 pumps. I like the quality so far. Time will tell on quality. They recommend regular maintenance. Need to get some lithium grease spray, evidently.

Tuesday's weirdness was a very angry cloud on a mostly sunny afternoon. It dumped rain, but it never blocked the sun.
sunshowers are fun
