It's from arctic cooling on an enmic board and has no bearing on built by ati cards but I thought it was funny to see an ATI card with this thing on it.
Yes, it's an ATI card. It's not an nvidia card, it's not a matrox card, it's an ATI card.

The new cooler for ATI Radeon 9700 cards.

Please change the misleading title.
It's more like "FlowFX style coolers available for ATi cards"

It's pretty much the same as Zalman coolers, something you can buy to replace the stock stuff, and that some retailers may offer with their cards, but since they make one for the 9700PRO, suggesting the new cards will come with one is a bit wrong.

Actually, it's bang on the money. Reading the article rather than just looking at the pretty pictures will tell you that Enmic will be producing these cards with the cooler. It's not something for sale seperately.

Your title is very misleading.
Enmic: Focus On Coolers For Graphics Cards Instead of Motherboards

There is little profit to be made from motherboards, which is a well known fact to those in the industry. In order to escape from single-figure profit margins, Enmic moves on to new territory: through a cooperation with the Swiss firm Arctic Cooling, Enmic wants to step up its bundled cooler offerings for ATI graphics cards. The temperature-dependent radial fan rotates at lower speeds from 600 to over 1500 rpm. This shows that Enmic wants to reduce its motherboard business to a minimum.
You need to fix it.

How is it misleading? Enmic is making ATI graphics cards with a Flow FX like cooling system. What's hard to understand about that? It's not a seperately available cooler. Sometimes I wonder about people...

Because you said "ATi cards". That is why. I see you changed it once. Just because one mfgr that no one has ever heard of is putting some goofy cooler on their brand of cards does not constitute "ATi cards". Your title of "ATi cards" implied ATi branded cards.

I read it. It just doesn't make any sense. The title is fine. Arcitc Cooling is producing a cooler that will ship with a powered by ati card from enmic. The title is accurate.

No big surprise. But I bet all those ATI fans who put nVidia down for the fan on their 0.13um cards are feeling dumb now that ATI is going to end up doing the same thing.

ATI card to use FlowFX like cooling system

There's nothing wrong with that. It's still an ATI card. Just because it's made by Enmic doesn't mean anything. It's still an ATI card. Nvidia doesn't make cards, just GPUs. Does that mean that an ASUS Ti4200 isn't an nvidia card? Of course not, it's still an nvidia card. Just like the Enmic is an ATI card.

Except that ATI isn't doing it. ATI cards will use a standard HSF. This is a 3rd party. Read the whole thread.

This is my problem with the title (now edited) of the post. ATi is not. One OEM has some hair brained idea. Not ATi, not other OEMs.

That's why I said the title needed changing, for nVidia fanboys like this dude.

Enmic != all ATi cards.

Oldfard, the enmic is still an ATI card with a flowFX like cooling system. Just like an ASUS card is an Nvidia card with a FlowFX cooling system.
"ATI card to use FlowFX like cooling system" is a fine title. All I did was remove the S from card. Hardly edited.

ATi make cards (pretty much), Asus make a Ti 4200 using a nVidia GPU, but you can get ATi retail cards, you can't get nVidia retail cards, just retail cards with nVidia GPU's.

Enmic != all ATi cards.

No one said that. Just said that it's an ATI card with a FLow FX cooling solution. Yes, it's an ATI card. It sure as heck isn't an Nvidia or matrox card. It's an ATI card. Some people read way too much into some things.

I know it's not happening on every ATI card. I know that it's not necessary as it is on the top nvidia card. Like I said in my original post, I just thought it was funny. How does that make me a fanboy, lonyo?

yeah all those people putting down the NV30 flowFX cooling system pretty much should be feeling dumb now.

I found your title to be misleading as well. I expected to read about the new R350's with a flowbee on them.

eah all those people putting down the NV30 flowFX cooling system pretty much should be feeling dumb now.

No they shouldn't because ATI cards don't REQUIRE this solution as some nvidia cards do. It's just funny is all.

That's because you jumped to a conclusion. You shouldn't assume. The title is accurate.

Hey, ummm, maybe read the article next time...? Or the other posts...? Or something...?
