I've just been using my warrior tank and facerolling all the dungeons at heroic to get the achievements and for gold farming.

Question: When panda hits, will we still have our Justice points? (IE: will we be able to purchase the new JP items?)

right now, there is no cap on honor/justice points.

my understanding is that on launch day, the cap gets reinforced and any points over the cap get converted to gold.

so you can't farm infinite points, but you can farm to the cap if you want an early head start (though I assume that HP/JP costs will be going up for the level 90 gear, so what you can get for 4k JP today might not be much in MoP)

edit: also, I just realized that my priest's name is misspelled >< might be a good excuse for a faction transfer/name change someday

I typically get extra gold, gems, potions I don't use/need, or in two cases a few mounts. Nothing spectacular.

Every expansion hey have converted "points" into gold. As they don't allow going into an expansion with points earned from a previous 'endgame'.

Same, Ive been getting them a lot lately. Usually about 60-70g and other random stuff. I have got a mount and pet but thats it for the good stuff.

They don't kill all your points. They just stop you from earning more above the cap. Once the expansion goes live those above the cap will be converted to gold.

waaaay back in the day, there was some semblance of an AT guild, but it went through some guild mergers and recruitment and if I had to guess, I was probably the last AT'er left in the formerly-known-as Knights of Nef guild when I server transferred off Bronzebeard.

I'd start up a new character for an AT guild. Can't guarantee I'd play much, though.

I still laugh about that. I ended up on that server but never knew about the at guild.

I don't think forum guilds really work as well unless there are a ton of members. My reasoning is that some people simply have different goals when playing a MMO. Just because we're all on [insert forum here], that doesn't mean we have the same goal. A coworker at my previous job was in the Ars guild, and when I asked him about how it worked, it sounded like they simply had the numbers to have a modest pool of people for casual, hardcore, PvP, etc.

if I remember right, the AT guild was like a dozen of us in its heyday... we merged with 2 other guilds to start raiding MC, and that was probably when it stopped being the AT guild.

(and then there was various dramas as the AT guild leader's wife left him to hookup with another player IRL or something)

Perhaps i need to rephrase the question. Are tanks and healers getting them anymore? Has there been a change? I ask this because i'm not recieving them as a tank anymore. Bug?

I didn't see any "Calls to Arms" flags on specific class archetypes.

Found this interesting reply for a then vs now status.




For years raiders whined on the foums about Wrath being easy, heroics not being
hard enough and heroic like TBC.

The blues listened to that forum chatter and developers decided to make Cata out
of the box tough. We had 5 man bosses with "boom your dead" moves, We also had
an entry level tier of raiding harder than the final tiers of the previous
expansion. It was a gamble, they assumed enough people asked for it and it was
what the community wanted.

with the exception of ToC/ToGC, Wrath progression felt perfect to me.

easy heroics (especially once you out-geared them), average raids, and hard hard-modes... my only major complaint is that I wish hard mode drops had totally different graphics than normal mode, so that they stood out more and made their wearers look more bad-ass.

Yes, for tanking, I usually dont get them until Sunday/Monday. Last weekend alone I got around 8.

Yeah I get a few of them in a row sometimes depending on when the server population. Having the little bag next to the rewards doesn't make me "want" to queue up for another run however.

same. the mounts are about all i shoot for now. though i seem to get ones i already have.
