I read that earlier somewhere as well, but the 600 skill points in each profession looked like a Guild Achievement to unlock, not a personal one.

Well, unlocking heirloom helms and chestpieces did occur through guild achievements, so I guess that could be true.

Most of those talents "seem" like pvp orriented because they wanted to make talents a choice about utility and not strictly pathing along thee greatest dps increase. In that matter seems to have worked.

Pretty much this.

If I had to guess, they made a lot of the talents seem PvP-utility based to make the game encounters more interactive. Just doing more damage and having spells that create more damage (ie: short high damage bursts) doesn't really "add" to the game besides throwing up bigger numbers IMO.

Edit: Basically what lupi already said.

If they significantly affect dps, it would be required and you'd still see "cookie cutter" specs. I suspect some talents will be "mandatory" but only for certain fights. Also, stuffing a lot of utility into talents makes pvper make more interesting decisions and thus makes pvp more interesting.

Hmm I'm not sure if my FPS was actually low now. It appears that my location add-on for Fubar isn't working, and I kept looking at my latency instead of my framerate! 😳

60-80 FPS with 8x AA 16x AF with everything on ultra (in windowed). I'll take it.

Well MM while leveling in dungeons isn't very useful. I'm down to two buttons lol, aimed shot then steady shot until I gain focus. Joke

Cross realm raids work right? If anyone is interested, when I get home from work Im going to try to put together a group for ICC 25, Lich King only for the achieves. About 5pm PST.

never thought I'd say this, but I'm seriously thinking about faction transferring to Alliance to PvP oO

Ive done it before. It just depends on how shitty your battle group is. Back in the day on Korgath, Horde won 99% of all BGs that wasnt AV. There was no point in even playing anything but.

I kind of want to switch my two Horde toons to Ally since I have a ton of gold stockpiled on Ally and I want to have access to all my professions.

I don't think that I've ever heard someone say that they want to be Alliance if their goal is to PVP. ...you're just full of surprises, loki! 😛

I am not thrilled with the talents. WTF you get like NO choices.

My main is a prot warrior. so now some of my choices are DPS? bah

That's kind of their point though. More versatility to do other things. My prot pally can throw off insta heals to people now too.

If you were missing required tools they failed spec design, you shouldn't need to get talents to do your job.

Spec=required tools
Talents=utility
Major glyphs=specialized tools
Minor glyphs=fun

it's fucking nuts... unless I get lucky and zone into a BG with a partial premade, I don't think I've won more than a handful of R-BG's since I transferred to Proudmoore.

Even by this mindset (Which isn't a good one, as talents were to make your character "stronger" that was one of the great parts about leveling in WoW. Was each level brought you a little stronger outside of stats)

They could have made interesting choices. Some choices, youd be dumb not to take a certain one. And others, are connected to spells or are spells that are so unusable in most situations and/or uninteresting to where I could care less which one I pick up.

I really don't care about leveling in this game anymore. Ill just take a premade 90 please.

haven't looked athe minor glyphs.

perhaps. but wasn't imperssed with the beta. hopefully the class's are better.

I can understand your dislike for the new talent system, because it doesn't really feel like talents. Although, is that really the worst thing? It might be good for WoW to differentiate itself from all the other MMOs... that are trying to be WoW. 😛

However, sometimes innovating for innovation's sake might not be the best idea. 😛

anyone know of any similar to autobar addons. xperl just got updated so looks like I'm either all covered or know an update is imminent for everything but this one.
