I personally don't like the changes. Only thing I like is pet battles, and account shared mounts/pets/achieves.

-Hate the new talent system. Hate how unbalanced some talents are so there are STILL "cookie" cutter talents, when removing that was the FULL reason for this change.
-Dislike the new glyphs. (My main has 0 actually USEFUL glyphs now).
-Stormwind still seems damaged, that should have been repaired by now.
-Unlimited dailies? As if gold wasn't already overflowing on some servers. I am tired of seeing stuff that shouldnt be 5-10k gold being that high.

Is your main a Holy Paladin cause this is how I feel.

You caught me.

The one tier talent. The FoL / Judge talent. is the most efficient IF you crusader strike also.

I mean really? I dont like that playstyle, Why is my mana conservation going to take a hurt because I don't want to stand in melee range as a healer?

And then the glyphs... no thanks. No help there.

And my Warlock... EVERY TALENT is I swear about PvP survival. Almost nothing is a DPS increase but a speed/survival/healing increase.

Doesnt help I can look at almost any talent tree, and pick out the exact talents I would take because there are a "best" talent for PvE/PvP. The cookie cutter idea didnt dissappear. Only made it less appealing to click on those boxes.

Logged on last night and started an ICC10 achieve run. Got my mount 😀 I was thinking about leaving right after Frost Wing (started on Frost Wing) but I felt bad and ICC is actually fun. I saved the lockout on one of my toons on LK so Im going to try to start a group tonight with ICC25 for LK achieves. Things I noticed while playing last night..

Fire Mage and Ret Pally do a TON of DPS now.

Ya, I had a hard time picking talents for my Holy Paladin. It basically came down to picking the least crappy one of the bunch. Picking them for my Ret off spec wasn't much easier.

I usually stand with melee while I'm healing in order to use crusader strike but most of the talents seem completely useless. I'll do some more toying around with it after work today and see if I can get a better understanding for it all.

I feel the same about the glyphs though.

After playing Ret some last night I'm tempted to make it my main spec. It seems incredibly easy lol.

I might just end up doing an add-on purge and starting over with less or seeing if there are newer alternatives out there. One thing I'm not sure about is why I had this odd, small white box on my screen with "30.00%" in it. I think it was from Visual Combat Table (displays your dodge, parry, hit amount for tanking and such), but I don't think my Rogue has that add-on enabled. 😛

I definitely need to look into fixing TinyTip, because it errors whenever I hover over someone! 😱

You may consider a talent to be more "PVP oriented", but at least for the classes that I've looked at, the movement-oriented talents tend to be situational talents that depend on a fight's mechanics.

Also, I'm so glad that I have Shadowstep now! 😀

Only positive change I see, is the mastery change to prot paladins. That is really something.

And I dont stand in melee range, because I had no need too. BUt now you have to spend GC for crusader strike (which wasnt very useful before) and judgment which now gives 0 benefit UNLESS you take that talent. And the mana you pay ends up almost costing a FoL anyways, its just a strong instant heal. I see that as a better Ret tallent tbh.

Worst part is. Even after so many paladins even agreed that talent was too good compared to the rest and not aligning playstyles for months on the beta forums. Even with data, blizzard let it through...

And again, I was thinking of going Warlock in MoP, until I saw the talents, and that they are so stupid/bad to the point Id rather not take any but 2, becasue I dont use half my spells that they affect because I dont pvp on my warlock.

""You may consider a talent to be more "PVP oriented", but at least for the classes that I've looked at, the movement-oriented talents tend to be situational talents that depend on a fight's mechanics.""

Literally, when a choice is between

Howl of terror instant
Death coil is now terror instead of fear
Your fear now roots a person after the effects falls off.

Sorry I don't need either in PvE.

Or better yet, first tier is all about self healing. Again warlocks already had so many tools to help self heal, why make it so our death coil heals more? or Make drain life drain multiple targets for less?

The warlock talents are the worst thought out in my opinion.

I feel stupid spending all of last week grinding personal guild rep. They upped the rep you get from questing huge. With tabard I'm getting 367 rep per quest.

nice.. is that at 85, or while leveling?

I hate(d) the fact that you get basically negligible guild rep from 1-80... imho, it should be balanced such that if you level from 1-max on a character all while in the same guild, you should be at least honored-revered.

I didn't check the actual title, but the pvp title achievements from my alliance char are on my horde chars now.

At 85. Ill check how much I get on my level 40ish rogue in a bit.

Level 30 Warlock talent choices
-Learn Howl of Terror
-A fear/terror spell
-Shadowfury
(For pve dps purposes. Pointless. For PvP? Amazing choices)

Level 45
-When an attack drops you below 20% hp, damage taken is reduced by 50% for 10s (Occurs once every 90s)
-Soul link
-Sacrifical pact (Sac demon to prevent all damage for 5s)
(Besides soul link, not really needed for PvE, but amazing choices for PvP again)

Level 60
-Bloodstone (Conjure an item to heal you 44% hp and icnrease healing done to you for 10s)
-Spell drain (Nest single target spell focused on teh warlock heals him for half damage it would have delt)
-Nether Ward (Turns shadow damage rpevention to all prevention. Prevents only a little damage)
(Again for an avid PvEr Nothing really useful. For a PvPer? Great choices)

Level 75
-Turn demons into stronger version who do more damage
-Summon a 2nd demon to last for 30s
-sac demon to gain increased damage and hp
(Oh hey! Talents that help PvE and PvP.

Level 90
-A curse to have an enemy take 25% damage you take to also harm them
-Can cast and channel while moving, but doubles cast time
-Basic attacks cause splash damage
(Choices usable in PvE, but not very strong. Great Curse for PvP though.)

Wow level 44 quest, 367 guild rep.

I was just informed they are adding heirloom pants to MoP. In order to unlock them you have to have 600 skill points in every profession.

Can anyone confirm this?

Lock is my main, nice summary. I haven't played since Cata release and the talents seem so weird. Easier to manage but the choices are odd.

One thing you need to keep in mind with the talents is that they're not meant to be 100% useful to you in PVE and PVP. However, I really don't think you're looking at the full picture when you see these talents. Like my favorite Doc says, "You aren't thinking fourth dimensionally!" (I'm not really sure if that applies, but I like quoting Back to the Future.)

Also, it helps if you consider them from the perspective of working (i.e. banging your head against the wall) on a difficult encounter.

Level 30:
Shadowfury may prove useful on a few random fights that have adds that need controlling. I have definitely seen it used in PVE before, and it might be again. Sure, it's not 100% useful, but it may have a use or two. It's definitely a more PVP/CC oriented tier.

Level 45:
Let's just say that the Gibb brothers would be ecstatic over these talents, because they will definitely be helpin you when you're workin' on... Stayin' Alive! It definitely has a PVP slant to it, but to completely ignore the talents simply because they're survivability is very short-sighted. When you're learning a difficult encounter, it's these talents that give you a slight defensive advantage that mean the difference between dealin' deeps and wasting your raid's battle rez.

Level 60:
Pretty much the same as above. Personally, I would probably go with the Bloodstone, which sounds flippin' fantastic for encounters that have repeated, but heavy damage phases (think Chimaeron).

Level 75:
These are DPS-oriented, which means the PVE aspect is much more quantifiable.

Level 90:
These definitely don't seem as quantifiable as the level 75 talents, but they can be quit helpful. If you're in a fight where you're taking constant damage, consider taking the curse. If you're in a movement intensive fight, consider taking the cast-while-moving talent. If you're in an AoE-centric fight, consider taking the splash damage talent. I consider these more "butter on the bread" talents as they aren't necessary, but they're a nice bonus.

Any idea how the hell we're supposed to do heroic spine with 8 second CDs on dispel?

They changed the bad debuff to always convert to the good debuff on the first dispel.

EDIT:

Can anyone post the rogue talent breakdowns from somewhere? Stuck at work and can't view much but here lmao.

Only thing that you need to know is that you get Shadowstep!!! 😀 (I actually don't even remember the rest of them, but I do recall having trouble choosing one of the tiers as there wasn't an absolute good choice for PVE.)

yet all the other classes have easy to spot useful stuff for pve in every talent tier. Sure I still dont agree with some of the talent setups for other classes. At least I dont feel like I am only working on just pvp talents when adding them on those classes. Again it is a pitiful setup. And again didnt remove any cookie cutter builds. Just reduced them to be found much easier.

I was getting 400 for every daily I did yesterday at 85 with the purple guild tabard. It looks like they took the weekly cap out also because I got about 7K rep through dailies last night and the cap had been like 4812 pts a week.

I read that earlier somewhere as well, but the 600 skill points in each profession looked like a Guild Achievement to unlock, not a personal one.

Most of those talents "seem" like pvp oriented because they wanted to make talents a choice about utility and not strictly pathing along thee greatest dps increase. In that matter seems to have worked.
