are there any donate-to-play vanilla wow servers? I want donate-to-play to ensure it's actually a good experience. I also don't want to be able to just rocket to level 60. Want to play from the ground up.

playing on wow-one private server vanilla wow, enjoying it a lot more than the real servers. It's actually *hard* to level on not super easy like WoW is.

Talking about WoW private server is frowned upon here, if not flat out against the AT forums rule. There's a reason why there's no discussion about them.

Having said that, I googled that website and found that 'vanilla wow-one' provides two vanilla wow servers:

Warsong: Highrate 12x levelling rates, optional 1x levelling
Al 'Akir: Instant 60

Apparently being *hard to level* is not exactly on their priority list either

MMO Champ is predicting 4.3 this week.

Patch 4.3 will be deployed on live realms this week, as usual there is a 1% chance that it will not happen if something goes really wrong but you should expect to be able to enter the Dragon Soul raid and kick deathwing's ... butt? on November 29th in the US and November 30th in EU.

Ok. First, Hi. lol im new here on this forum and i find pretty awesome that they have athread dedicated to WoW.

Second, i have a problem.. im sure this is the WRONG place to put this but WoW is th only gane i play.. so i have a 85 DK andmy computee sucka! So im thinking of getting a new.one this seems like a worthy computer to buy but im a noob when it comes.to computers so any incite as to how good this.computer would be.. im also thinking.of.buying another graphics card with it.

undocumented, but I believe with 4.3 alchemy specialization is also changing... so if you've got any alts, run and make 4 primal mights before the xmute quest rewards 4 x truegolds.

I don't really know enough about the current market to tell you if that's a good buy or to suggest improvements, but just quickly glancing at the specs, it seems like it would handle WoW fine.

I doubt it will play WoW or really any game well at all... especially depending on the resolution. The GeForce GT 520 is a very weak graphics card that's essentially the competitor for AMD's Radeon 6450, which is pretty much the "HTPC card." The CPU might be alright.

The 'update' is on the launcher... if you already downloaded the big 800Mb patch, the update is tiny



once it's done.. you're at 4.3

Transmog... it lets you feel good about shitty drops by being able to make the gear you have look like the gear you want!

I have the heroic mail caster shoulders from Alysrazor, which look just like the Shaman tier piece, and I already have the gloves. So I guess a little transmogrification and I'm good to go!

It also appears that you only need to pickpocket the fourth boss in Dragon Soul (not in LFR) to start the rogue legendary quest (after getting the quest from Afrasiabi in Wyrmrest Temple in Dragon Soul). After the ridonkulous 12 hour (/played) charge period, you get to do what looks like a bunch of fun Rogue stuff. I started reading about it, and just stopped, because it looks too interesting to spoil! It seems a lot like the old Hunter and Priest class quests, but not as straightforward. There are only four quests that involve stuff in Dragon Soul... the first quest, two collection quests and getting a piece of Deathwing's armor.

not all 8 bosses are available yet right? I got the 4th on my alt healer last night through LFR even and it gave me the achieve. Both tanks died, I threw out my earth elemental and lightning bolted (usually do it for telluric currents) and got the killing blow... hilarious with 20 dead and only healers left alive.


I also got in on the new BH boss before they took him out - a guildie even got pve loot from it so I'm wondering if they're going to take it back.

I did 2/3 of the new dungeons, and amusingly enough... I only watched videos for 2/3 of the new dungeons. Problem is... the one that I didn't watch was the first one (End Time). I really "noobed it up" on Sylvanas in there, and I feel like I'm missing something on the Tyrande fight to help reduce the amount of damage that I take (as melee).

I left my character logged in last night, and I should have my rogue's ring done since I checked this morning, and I only had 40 minutes left.

I'm a little disappointed about Void Storage, but mostly because of how they classified a few items. For example, I wanted to throw my Brewfest steins in the void, but you can't put unique items in there. Why in the world are the steins unique and soulbound! It's not like I can get another one! :|

I'm not certain about this, but it looks like the Dragon Soul raid is split into two separate queues. One being the Assault on Wyrmrest Temple (bosses 1-4) and The Fall of Deathwing (bosses 5-8). Bosses 5-8 are definitely available since my guild was working on Ulthraxion when we hit raid end time (we only raid for 2 hours a night).

I have to admit I like the transmogrifier but the side affect is that that the lowbie gear side of the ah just went crazy. Anything that looks remotely pretty is going for hundreds or thousands of gold, even if they are greens. Blacksmiths, leatherworkers and tailors have just become boutiques. I even get the whole purpose of the new void storage now...its basically a giant closet for storing wardrobe changes. Too bad I vendored all the cool looking gear i've gotten over my 85 levels.

Anyways, it's good to see demand surge for player made gear but I hope it doesn't have a long term negative impact on what first time players can afford at ah.

Yeah... some of it can't even go in there because it's either Unique or not Soulbound. :| I did put a few seasonal items in there, but not as much as I was hoping. I'm mostly just storing old gear that I don't want to get rid of but don't want to keep in my bank or use for transmog purposes. Like I kept Tier 1 and Tier 2 on my Rogue, but I don't like either of them enough to want to transmog to them.

I actually want to go get Tier 7 (25-man) and transmog to that. Tier 8 isn't too bad, but the helm looks odd on Worgen (most helms do -- kinda like on Tauren). Skeletor (Tier 5) is kind of fun too.

I want to go get Tier 6 for my Priest, because it kind of matches his old Anathema, which I definitely chose as my transmog choice!

My Death Knight is using his original starting green quality gear (the one that looks like cloth) with the Argent Avenger (looks like a light saber).

I think I kept my avenger for my lock in the bank, could be a neat thing to use. Ony other gear I saved for him was the plague outfit. Rest I ditched long ago when space was more of a premium.


Would like to get fulll judgment for the pally, haven't really looked at stuff for any others.
