I know Blizz and its employees rake in the money but can you imagine spending endless months designing/coding something that people will "consume" in just a few weeks? And you get to do it all over again?

Frankly I don't know how hardcore raiders do it - you raid 3-4 nights a week and wipe a million times to learn something quickly, just to burn yourself out (even by repetition), then unsubscribe for months until the next release comes. Is that really fun? What's fun for me is having something to do in-game everyday... that's what makes the sub fee worth it. Blowing your wad quick and early makes for unhappy times.

Humans are creatures of habit, so...

You have to remember a large percentage of the at releease expansion budget was spent on redoing the old areas for sub L60 content.

600k isn't bad, many people on different forums are really surprised it isn't much more. I wonder how many of those accounts are just taking a break until 4.2. They also may have finally hit the peak of their playerbase, where people that have playing since vanilla are finally growing out of the game. I personally don't have time to play as much now with a family as I did 4 years ago when I started playing.

It’s not a big shock really. They reworked content through level 60 in hopes of enticing old players to level new toons. But the real reward for anyone playing is level 81 and up because few guilds are running BC or LK raid content unless they are board and looking to do some achievements. So even if people started new toons their goal was to rip through the content as fast as possible.

What I saw most people do was start a Worgen or Goblin, run the new starting content then if they really liked the race they swapped over one of their level 85 toons.

I’m not complaining about the rework of the level 60 and lower content, it’s actually pretty bold and you rarely see a developer do that. What is clear is that there simply wasn’t as much high end content as previous expansions and what Blizzard needs to do is keep their promise to increase the frequency of content patches and expansions.

One of the reasons they gave for some of the changes was to facilitate the rapid release of content. With that being said one thing I HOPE they don’t do is make major game mechanic changes with each subsequent release.

The legendary is hit/crit, wtf. I could understand having hit, but crit is just fucking over warlocks on purpose.

A Legendary is more than just giving it to the person who the stats make the most sense for. Besides you still haven't even seen the proc and the stats might change.

I know that I'll be giving it to the person who deserves it the most and not worrying about some crit on it. They can reforge 40% of it away anyways.

/sigh

Of course the stats may change, the proc doesnt make a difference in my comment if there is one. The whole point is it could be mastery which better for everyone. Arguing with me over stats for casters is something your going to lose everytime.

Crit is a good stat for casters in general. I play a Warlock and see nothing wrong with it. I can reforge it to haste. Heck, it has 3 red sockets on it.

256 Crit = 102.4 Haste / Mastery

Crit is not a bad stat for Warlocks. Other stats are slightly better but it is very nice. They have to appeal to a large audience.

On the positive side of things, I got my shoulders from Cho'gall last night.

Theres a difference between being ok and being best, which is what a legendary is suppose to be. This will be the best weapon for all classes that can use it, but if its only 100 dps better than the next bis weapon/oh, whats the point? In the foreseeable future, only the hardcore will get this weapon and those people care about bis.

Crit sucks for my boomkin. Now I'm sad. I'd be one of the 2 with a chance of getting it in our raids.

The 100 dps increase would be a joke. They should make it much more than that. Hit, to cap of course, is the best stat in general for casters then it is a pick of what Blizzard wants. Haste would have been nice but I could deal with crit.

I play a Destro Lock and crit is fine with me. What spec of Lock do you play? I do know the fire Mage in our guild is getting it first, so he is happy.

I was hoping someone could help me out?

I recently picked my boomy back up but I'm not getting the numbers I used to. I know there were a few nerfs but I'm not sure if the disparity is a result of that or another issue entirely. I reforged my gear and unfortunately had to sacrifice a lot of my haste for hit. I wanted to get a few opinions before stepping foot in the new heroics. Anyone see any glaring issues?

Oh I quit playing last year somewhere between heroic saph and heroic arthas. I played with Blood Legion and was mainly aff but our demo lock sucked so I played demo more than aff.

But I came here to say, holy crap Warlock T12 is SPIDERMAN NANANANANANANAANANANANANANANAN so awesome

lol my account got hacked during the free week. Thanks blizzard! First time ever getting hacked. And I played since beta.

Allowing my account to be reactivated and then hacked for free?

Doesn't matter though, I got all my stuff back.

Haha, yeah... they're pretty good at fixing it at least. There's a chance you responded to a phishing e-mail at some point. Most look really fake, but some of them look slightly valid until you hover over the URL and it's something obviously not correct.

Corollary to Aikouka's rule: "If I don't see it when I log into my account at Battle.net, then it doesn't exist. eMail is no longer a (valid/actionable) contact method, except insofar as a reminder to check Battle.net. Period. End."

Nope it wasn't an email. I have never replied to one of those. And I know what to look for. So I have no idea how they got my info. Consider I have no never been hacked before, and I played since the game started.

Honestly, with all the myriad ways people try to get your account, it could be any number of things. Change your password. Get an authenticator. Move on with life.

Get an authenticator. Move on with life.

*/wipes hands* problem solved.

And if you retort with "But the authenticators have been hacked!!!one1" then I'll come back with "You are a complete retard to have been hacked with an Authenticator" to the level of having a computer so infected with trojans and loggers that you are being man in the middle'd constantly then. And you should probably worry more about your bank accounts at that point.
