At what point does it become okay to hit a woman back?

i'd have hit her too, tell her calmly twice to back off, after that, well then she has forfeited her rights as a woman (which due to the double standard, she feels entitled to amnesty) and she's fair game, i don't put up with it, but i try and avoid it
 
after getting punched in the face, i might have slapped her, but not a closed fist punch. I think that was overkill.
 
I think this is from Chris Rock? I won't hit a bitch but I sure as hell choke the ****** out of one. I don't think I could hit a woman with a closed fist unless she was some martial arts/boxing girl. I would hope I wouldn't get my ass kicked 😉 Other then that she would get the smack to face and some obligitory groping, that's how I roll foo!

Based on your previous posts, I'd guess that that was not the case in reality.
Your girlfriend hit you jokingly. Where did you hit her back, and how hard?
How hard did the other girl really hit you? Did you get the cut and black eyes from her, or the guys who kicked your ass?
Did those guys see the whole conflict outside the apt? It seems their opinion was that you took it too far. I'd like to know why they thought that.

Whatever the case is, your girlfriend doesn't care about you. If she did, she would have defended you before the situation escalated.
 
Black eyes, stictches, police... you,your g/friend and her friends need to back off on the booze.

Is it at all possible that you drank enough that your perception of events is skewed ? Is it possible when you "jokingly" hit your g/friend back that it didn't look or feel like a joke to the other people present ?

If the description of events is accurate (it's probably not), I think that the OP was allowed to fight back. However, my approach would have been to leave or defuse the situation instead of trying to give a lecture.

The opening scene of Way of the Gun is when you're not allowed to hit girls, I think.

I mean,... what happened after the police showed up? They told you that you were in the wrong,.... did you go to jail? Did anyone go to jail? Who called the police?

What happened to the two guys that beat your ass? Did they stick around for the police?

Did the two guys see the chick going after you? Punch you in the face?

I dunno,.... sounds like we're missing something.

I had a situation like this come up today. My gf and I were painting my bedroom and she was making fun of some place where I messed up, so I went to dab her on the forehead with my brush and accidentally got some in her hair; she immediately gave me the worst blow I've ever had to my junk. I was furious, threw my paintbrush at her then gave her a good sock to the arm. She started crying and said that I should never hit her. I felt bad afterwards, but after 2 minutes she already had the paint out of her hair and I was still curled up in a ball on the floor. I hate double standards.

Then I stabbed her with the roller, so she ripped my penis off and fed it to a wild dog. I then killed and ate the dog, and regenerated my penis. Then we looked back at the situation and laughed, then fornicated.
