Nice Find!
* Again, based on tests run using the Unreal Engine 3's Engine CityStreet2 demo, a single GeForce 7800 GTX is faster than two 6800 Ultras running in SLI, by almost 30%.

Now that gets me more interested in these cards! I eagerly await the real articles and benchmarks.
I also await the hopeful 32 pipe version, to make an upgrade from a 6800GT really worth it.![]()

It is kinda wierd that the cards are for sale before the NDA has even been officially lifted.
No one can accuse nV of a paper launch this time. Cards for sale at Newegg before they are released. Wow!
This was an interesting tidbit from the THD article:
Core clock/ memory clock: 430 MHz/600 MHz with support for overclocking
I wonder what sort of "support for overclocking" will be available...

It's an NDA for christ's sake. They don't have to tell you when it ends because you're not supposed to know. As far as they're concerned the public doesn't even know the 7800 exists.

My prediction: great single card performance, GTX SLI will be cpu limited in all titles at 1600x1200 4x8x, and only margainally beat Ultra SLI.
Lets see how far off i am![]()
