Got some new bike seat, Sunlite Cloud-9, Bicycle Suspension Comfort Saddles, pretty damn comfy. I also adjusted the seat height so it makes peddling easier on my thighs.

6 miles today.

40 miles today, 15.2 MPH average. Starting to feel the limitations of a mountain bike frame. Jealous of all those skinny little tires and flat forks I see on the road bikes. I also run out of gear at 24 MPH.

39 miles on the mountain bike today, plus three 3-mile commuting days last week I didn't get around to posting. So that's +48.

Did 18 miles tonight

Total: 7685

Question: What do you do about dogs? Rode past a house on Friday with one large Bulldog, that ended up chasing me for a 1/4 mile. Then tonight, had a dog (about the size of a golden retriever) jump out of no where and growl and barked. Some one mention dog spray? or even a dog Clicker? guess its supposed to send out a high pitch noise that dogs don't like. I'm not so worried about being bitten, more of crashing.

A little spray from the water bottle helps in a pinch. Other than that, time to develop your sprinting skills!

Had a clicker for dogs at customer's houses. Seemed to work but never really had one go after me when I had it. Switched to pepper spray. Had to spray a couple. Worked. Velcroed another to my top tube on my bike but never had to use it.

Other than that, time to develop your sprinting skills!

Shouldn't you be logging altitude as well?
On the bike it really matters.

Must have done some 25 and 6 yesterday, but also around 2000-2500 feet worth of climbing.

Sorry for going MIA there for awhile. Took some greatly needed rest time off the bike and had some business travel to take care of. Glad to see some new people have jumped in to take up the slack!

Next goal is the Ohio Gran Fondo on September 2nd, 200km (124 miles) with over 8,000 ft of climbing (that's a lot for Ohio). Time to get back at it.

Did 20 miles on the strand today w// the old bike, which weights at least 40 lbs. Can't imagine how fast I'll be going when I get my new bike that's under 25 lbs. Im contemplating getting a straight up road bike instead of a hybrid road bike. I have zero intention of going off road or trail riding/mountain biking anyway.
