I pointed out to him that you made no mention of dual GPU's. You have just confirmed that you were not referring to dual GPU only. Maybe everyone will understand that now.

Except you didn't clear up a single thing. You have yet to post a clear, concise thesis. Have you seen how RS posts ordered thoughts backed up by references and even attempt to make or defeat counter points? That's what a competent and unbiased person does.

However, all you do is speak in blanket terms and hyperbole in an attempt to market nvidia products. Saying things like:

In light of H and TR's findings, (which cover BOTH multi GPU and Single GPU), and we all know what those findings are, I have asked Ryan Smith if he could undertake an investigation on this potential issue.
I have speculated on what could be causing the phenomena that TR and H had encountered. Framerate at the expense of latency/smoothness/microstutter. Could be the Never Settle drivers (12.11) that really amplified this and why we are hearing about this more.

This is completely false. [H] and TR's findings haven't shown single GPU and multi-GPU to be smoother. Quite the opposite actually. All this talk of perceived smoothness is always going to be subjective. Depending on the monitor they are using the results could be completely different. Until there is a 100% input lag free monitor with a 0ms response time it's going to be hard to actually judge this.

So I could swear i remember somewhere sometime that someone was saying how even with their own video card, they would see how one game seemed smoother than another game. It's the same video card, same drivers, just different games.

Part of me wonders if this variation between games, where a game may seem smoother than another (across various frames per second), if that has been applied using confirmation bias to somehow twist it into AMD vs NVidia?

In other words, maybe the "smoothness" factor really comes down to the game itself, because you can see smoothness in that game but not another game, when in reality you've been using the very same video card for both?

Kind of like, how if you develop a problem with your car out of the blue, then you think it's just random. But if your car has a problem after you took it to the mechanic, then obviously it's the mechanic's fault. I've thought about this a lot, and really I am the big winner here. My 670 is paired up with an AMD CPU, so I have the smoothest experience possible. My Radeon is in my Intel rig, so I have the fastest frame rates, although unfortunately it is much less smoooooooth. But choice is great, if I want speed I game on the Intel box, if I want slow but smoooooooooooooooooooooooooth I game on my AMD box. Win win. 😎

I think a big part of the problem is your wording here..you are twisting Nv sacrificing performance, into AMD sacrificing quality.

AMD have not sacrificed anything afaict, but rather, released drivers that have improved performance while rendering frames the same as they always have.

Other the other hand, Nvidia seems to have sacrificed performance for smoother gameplay via frame metering.
