I know its 11 pages, but your answers are not only in this thread, but in the bill.
Actually it's 17 pages and it DOES NOT definatively answer the questions I posed. Please direct me to the sections that answer my questions.

http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/sb1070h.pdfHm Im showing 12 pages. Go ahead and read the bill. Post is in the first link. It'll take you about 15 mins to read.
It's even funnier watching people that have claimed to read it, but don't know how many pages are in the bill, or provide a link.
Try actually linking the bill and referencing the actual text, not some BS article

It's 17 pages? Interesting. I was paying attention to the text, not the number.
For the lazy.

There is no requirement for a person to provide "proof" of citizenship. What it says is that determining citizenship follows federal guidelines, which doesn't require it either.
This is one of those laws that looks great on paper but the actually application has major fail written all over it?
1. How will illegals be identified ? Racial profiling anyone? lawsuits galore?
2. What will the police do with an illegal once identified? Will there be a massive coordination between the police and imigration that currently doesnt exist? Will the police take deportation into their hands? Will illegals remain in local jails until turned over and processed by imigration?
Looks to me like the framers of this bill didn't look past the potential headline grabbing popularity of this idea at the difficulties in applying it. I predict this becomes problematic to implement and sees very little actual enforcment and becomes a feel good law that is not enforced.
Not really. This law is "freedom to harass" for law enforcement. If the AZ legislature and governor wanted to get rid of the illegals they would nail employers' asses to the wall and the illegals would move elsewhere. This law doesn't do that. They don't want the illegals to actually leave, they just want them to remain hidden and exploitable. Arizona is addicted to cheap labor.
The one I linked is the correct one. You linked the senate bill.
The law is not about stemming the flow of illegals it is about scaring people of color away from the voting booth. This november people will be voting for their elected representatives and yes, even in AZ, for now anyway. I'm sure If you feel because of your color and having to produce documents like a birth certificate to rent a cops hired by the GOP at the polling station....

I'm sure If you feel because of your color and having to produce documents like a birth certificate to rent a cops hired by the GOP at the polling station.... this is as much the same as the poll tax or the poll tests they had in the racist south to prevent blacks from voting. Now, instead of a "tax" they have to produce their birth certificate?! How many whites even carry or even have a copy or the original of their birth certificate? I would wager way less than half and it can be expensive to get a valid copy sometimes running well over $100.00. For the working poor, the elderly, these costs just to be able to cast your vote, which is your right under the constitution, can be more than they can afford. So, while those on the right can say it is all about immigration, they are either lying or just stupid. I prefer to think the latter judging by the posters the teabaggers carry and the spelling on them. Besides, if they're worried about brown crime in AZ I thought all you cowboys carried a hogleg around with you for just such an opportunity....ahem, I mean for self defense.
AZ will regret passing this law. If not because of the unconstitutional nature of it, and it will be struck down but because of not only the national back lash against them but for the millions of dollars the state will spend in court trying to fight the avalanche of lawsuits that will arise from this. Money that could be going to schools, hospitals, road work, etc.. Taxpayers of AZ, you are getting royally screwed by your politicians. So.....bend on over....AZ get ready for the Duke.

I felt this is the perfect law, people claim most of the illegal are good people and haven't commit any crime.... EXCUSE ME, they already committed a grave crime by being in US illegally. My opinion may be really biases since I am a first generation Hong Kong immigrant, but law is a law. Yes, it take a long time and a lot of money, but if my family can do it legally, why can't the Mexican?
As for the people who scream racial profiling, what's wrong with that? 80-90% of the illegal are Mexicans, so naturally the only wise thing to do IS to target that, enough of the politically correctness bullshit.

Youre a complete idiot. LEGAL hispanics support this bill, and are just as pissed off at fast tracking illegals into citizenship as are asians and every other race for that matter. Nice fear talk though.
For those who support things like a pathway to citizenship for those already here illegally...sanctuary cities...etc...let me ask an honest question. I immigrated my wife here legally. Now, eventually she would like to petition her family, but that is actually a long, time and money consuming process. How would you feel if you met someone like me, and over beers they explained a plan they had of flying said family members into S America, and smuggling them over the border, thus by-passing immigration laws, to get the same result (a path to citizenship) much faster and at much less expense? What would you tell such a person? Youre cool with it?

First of all, I am a LEGAL immigrant AND a minority plus independent voter (even more minority than blacks or hispanics) so you can't use the racist/whitey/GOP/Bush fault/rightwing extremist/etc. line on me.
Second, I haven't hear any LEGAL immigrants like myself like how things are run in the immigration process, i.e. how ILLEGALS can jump ahead of the line and have the nerve to ask for amnesty/path of citizenship while KNOWING FULLLY that they were and are breaking the laws.
Third, I and millions of LEGAL immigrants endured so much hardship, cost, time, effort, and on and on just to be a LEGAL immigrant. Why can't ILLEGALS ARE REQUIRED to do the same? Why they broke the laws and then expect to be US citizens? Is that how we want our country to be? Just broke the laws and got the same result, LEGAL immigration (follow the laws) is for morons/chumps, right?
Furthermore, I always been asked for ID (a driver license would be fine and never for birth certificate so stop the misinformation) whenever I voted (every single time and it applied for every voter) and I didn't and still don't see the problem (you are required to carry driver license with you at all time), why can't ILLEGALS do the same? Oh wait, they can't, they ARE ILLEGALS.
Like I said before, enough is enough. ILLEGAL immigrants need to be stop and stop it now!!!!
