Do you own an orchard?Dragon fruit is one of the coolest looking fruit but is unfortunately very bland. I grow a couple varieties of yellow and purple ones that are much sweeter than most but still pretty bland.

The "intensity" of the flavor is very delicate/light ...If you mean bland as in sweetness, then yes. But I have to disagree if you think it's bland in flavor.
Just got home from a 7-day cruise. Looks like the squirrels and iguanas had a feast while there was no risk of air rifle death. Nice mix of fruit we picked today. Should be a great summer if the hurricanes stay away. Next couple weeks we'll probably have a couple hundred mangoes ripening up.

What's the letter marking on some of the fruits for?
It's that favorite time of year again... mango season is a bit late this year, but is getting into full swing now. Need to get a bb gun or something because the squirrels and iguanas are doing some major culling this year. Every morning I walk outside and find a dozen or so half-chewed mango corpses sprawled under the trees. Green spikey fruit in the middle is soursop/guanabana.![]()
Official statement:Iguanas can do a lot of damage. They eat plants and dig tunnels that can erode and collapse sidewalks, seawalls and the foundations of homes, the wildlife commissions said. Their droppings can be found almost anywhere, including on sidewalks, porches, patios, decks and inside swimming pools. They can also transmit salmonella.
Homeowners do not need a permit to kill iguanas on their own property, and the FWC encourages homeowners to kill green iguanas on their own property whenever possible. Iguanas can also be killed year-round and without a permit on 22 public lands in south Florida.
Mango season is awesome.
Pruning the mango trees post-harvest is less-than-awesome, especially in 90 - 95 degree heat. Managed to get through 1 tree this morning before feeling death creep up on me.

They were my favorite as a kid. Nowadays I've had a tough time finding peaches that give me those thoughts/sensations. Maybe they've dumbed down the breeding for shipping, maybe I'm buying in the wrong places or not allowing them to ripen properly, don't know why, but more often than not I'm disappointed. We had a nectarine tree in the yard in L.A. A really good nectarine is excellent.Peaches at perfect ripeness may be the best. I’ll have to do more research though.
