Almost as fast as the tri-core iPad Air 2's A8X (~4500) in multi-core:

Handily beats A8/A8X in single-core:

BTW, 4K in low light looks pretty meh.

Do you guys have 4k tvs or monitors to watch your 4k videos that you will be taking on your iPhones? Just wondering

Most people with 4k recording on high-end Android devices don't have a 4k display either.

It's just natural competition. The device manufacturers are trying to keep up with each other.

Thought it might be worth mentioning here, I preordered my 6s 64GB white/silver today with Verizon and ship date is still the 25th. Sounds like the phones the Verizon rep was expecting delays on were anything 128GB or rose gold, exaggerated if it's a 6s+. So the rose gold 128GB 6s+ is not the phone to buy. :p

All of the 6s phones I ordered for the company came in. Yay, I get to hand these out, collect their old 5s and 6 and sell them. Kaching!

Okay so I'm pretty sure I see a bright spot on the top left side of my screen. Should I try to swap it out? Would they even do it since they're back ordered right now? Am I being too picky?

Yeah I can definitely see the spot vs. my IP6.

Should I do it at the T-Mobile store today or wait til things calm down at the Apple store and do it there?

You'd probably get better service from the apple store. Tmo probably won't even have stock. I would call both prior just to make sure.

FWIW you have a year to do it. If its not a big deal I'd wait a week or two. If you have a 6s+ in particular is going to be hard to get a replacement now.

if he does it later, he'll probably get a factory refurbished one. Those look great (indistinguishable from new); but he's better off getting a brand new replacement as soon as one is available.

Is it just me or is using an OTA update the worst thing you can do? When I went from 8.3 (or was it 8.4?) on my iPhone 6+ to 9.0, I had horrible responsiveness. I'd hit the home button, and the Home Screen refused to respond for a good few seconds. I got my 6S+ today, and 9.0 worked fine. I figured that I'd save the 2GB download (got an e-mail about my data usage from Comcast earlier...) and downloaded the 32MB OTA update instead.

Yep... brand new iPhone 6S+, and it's slower than an iPhone 4. It's incredibly easy to reproduce too. I have my Messages app in a folder (along with other social apps), and I open the Social folder, open the Messages app, wait a second, hit the home button, and attempt to tap outside the Social folder. It takes around 2-3 seconds until it will finally register a tap. :| I really don't want to have to do a restore (or wait for 9.1), but this is rather irritating.

Mine is working like a dream. I did "set up as new iPhone" and configured without an Apple ID, then went to beta.apple.com/profile and installed the profile for iOS 9.1 public beta 2, installed the OTA update, wiped the phone, and restored from my iCloud backup.

The only problem is that I have to log-in to everything again (strange, because it didn't indicate any problem with iCloud keychain sync).

6s Plus performance is noticeably better than the 6 Plus I had before. Probably a lot of that is from the RAM capacity bump alone.

Purify Blocker worked wonders for my iPhone 6 Plus performance. Makes 1GB RAM somewhat tolerable.

Content blocker APIs for Safari is a new thing with iOS 9.

Could you run this benchmark again? I am asking because my 6S is scoring 2550/4400 consistently, and I've seen a much larger variation between 6S scores vs 5s/6 scores from last year, and I think the variation may be due to some A9s being manufactured on Samsung 14nm FF and others on TSMC 16nm FF .
