what gets me these days is people building systems and spending 400+ dollars on just a case. then they turn around and talk about how much they hate apple because apple cost too much.
I've bought several 400 dollar cases. Guess what? They've all been a million times better than anything you can get w/ a Mac. What is your point? It's never been about Apple being so expensive that us po' folk can't afford it. It's about what Apple offers you at their asking price. It's about unintelligent buyers who either don't care or don't know that they can get better. It's like Bose. You know there are a lot of people who swear by those speakers.
and how is a 400 dollar case better, do tell?
as i said, i researched the choices when i needed a new workstation, and dell and hp couldn't come close to apple at the price, and building one would have been about the same price at the time.
but if a fancy custom painted case like a cooler master turns you on, so be it. but kind of makes your bose argument seem silly.
enthusiasts always talk about how much more apple computers cost, but if they ever took a moment to add up all the money they sunk into a gaming rig always upgrading and changing out parts on a 6 month or less schedule, they'd find that macs are fairly cheap.
and for the average user, last a very long time.
i gave up building boxes when i turned 40 because i found that money could go to better uses. now i just have the two macs, and life is good.
i still game on my mac, windows 7 runs amazingly well on it, and it's got one of the best cases in the business, even though you say that your 400$ case is a million times better, but hey, what do i know, right?
because i like apple.
