Anyone know where to buy a good sword?

I've got a basket broadsword, 3-17 hardened and handmade, it's yours for £1000.

It's sharp enough to cut your fingers to the bone if you are not careful when pulling it , it takes about 2cm's of edge to cut that deep.

(and yes, it is an authentic basket broadsword hardened with clay and sodium solution)

Katanas are for kiddies, no weight and leaving your body open when fighting, it's retarded.

Katanas are made for quickness not extended sword fights. I have a wakizashi and tanto as well. So theoretically while you are engaging the katana one of the others could be drawn to finish the fight quicker.

believe what you like. japanese steel is shit. hence why japanese swordplay tries to avoid the parry. because relying on it can and WILL break your sword. then you're dead.

hence why i thought i suggested a swordbreaker. quick flick of the wrist, and boom, bye bye katana. a swordbreaker would only trap a proper european broadsword, but it'll snap off a katana without an issue.

You don't know much about real sword combat do you. Sword combat was not like you see in movies. Most sword fights only lasted 1-3 moves. And a katana is not meant to block another sword.

I purchased a sword from http://www.musashiswords.com/shop/home.php It was around $150. It's not 100% authentic, and it's made in China, but it's made by actual sword makers, and not in a stamping factory. It's sharp and very well balanced. It will cut Tameshigiri mats, pumpkins, watermelons ect without issue.
