Well Bertuzzi forfeits over $500,000 and his status for next season will be partially dependent on Moore's progress. I think if Moore doesn't recover quickly and is playing at the beginning of next season, Bertuzzi will sit some, if not all, of next season. I don't think it's over yet.

And Bertuzzi does sound very sincere in his apology and I'm sure he feels horrible. I do feel a little bad for Bertuzzi and his situation, but he put himself in that situation by doing what what he did and should live with the consequences.

I hope Bert gets the no go on the next Hockey season also., 12 games and if they go out first round isn't much of a punishment.

Where ever it is you obviously have never been in a fight in your life, and have no clue the intent a person has when you sucker punch someone, you only intent to hurt from that point, PERIOD.

Maybe... but when was the last time anyone sucker punched someone to the jaw with the intention of splitting open their eye, and breaking 3 vertebrae? Bert meant to hit him and hurt him, but I seriously doubt any intent to put him in the hospital.

Exactly. I agree he intended to hurt him, but not in the way that he did. If any of you watched his apology on TV I think it was obvious that he didn't intend it to be as bad as it turned out (unless he's a damn good actor).
