I couldn't find anything, yet. Was Bertuzzi just pissed about the score, or did Moore do something to rile him up?

I just saw it on ESPNews... Bertuzzi is suspended indefinitely.


Imho, very deservedly so. I don't see his actions being any less unconscionable than when McSorely hit Brashear from behind.

I guess Moore smoked Naslund in there last meeting (which I haven't seen either) and the Canucks vowed revenge. I guess last night Bertuzzi grabbed Moore from behind and sucker punched him, and then landed on him. Moore has like a broken vertebre (spl?) in his neck now and is out for the season...

i saw it on espn last night too. moore looked like he was out before he hit the ice.

i agree, the indefinite suspension is deserved.

No I mean I know it's bad but to me the punch looked kind of like it grazed him. From what I heard, I thought he punched him square in the back of the head...

watch it again. It was basically square to the side of the head. Moore looked like he was out before he went down.

Yeah i just watched it again and do agree that he did hit him very hard. Caught him square in the side of the head. Wonder what kind of suspension this is gonna bring down...

Yeah, me too. There was a pretty interesting discussion about this earlier in the "w00t Vancouver Canucks" thread. I'd say at least the rest of this season. Bill Clement seems to think around 20 games.

I hope Bertuzzi gets nailed to the wall for this, and the NHL needs to clean up their act also, they could have prevented this all from happening, the reffing this year has had an amazing need to be improved this year too.

Police Investigate Bertuzzi for hit on Moore

I don't ever like seeing Police get involved into sports incidents like this. As stupid as it is, it's still part of the game, and just another reason why the game is in the decline that it is today.
