hell no. this is probably the most important election ill ever be a part of. even if my vote will likely not be important (im in nj), i damn well am going to take a part in this election
other then the possibility of some 1/2 white dude winning there really isnt anything abnormally special or important about this election
Another quality post from you.
*golf clap*
I?m sorry that I?m not so disillusioned to think that wide spread country changing "change" is coming. It?s the same shit every 4 year, ITS GONNE BE DIFFERENT CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE, yet we just get more and more of the same old bullshit.
sad, but true.
everyone is so down on Palin, but you all should investigate what she has really done for the state of Alaska. she went against the good ole boys and the same ole same ole. something that neither Presidential candidate is going to ever do.
So you think that she is qualified to be POTUS?
at least as much as Obama is.![]()
sad but true.
obamas qualification is that hes good at speechifying. well, so then you have a potential president in every church in the countrythe truth is palin can't talk worth a damn, but she did help clean up alaskan politics. obama skates by on charm and left chicago as corrupt as ever.
Ah, so now it's Obama's fault that Chicago is still as corrupt as it ever was. You've got a lot to learn about that most political of American cities.
claiming that Palin is as qualified as Obama is beyond the pale.

I'm not. I don't like either candidate.
That is so true. I do want to thank the powers that be for allowing us to discuss voting here in the civility of OT.Originally posted by: Aikouka

That's why I said bad example. I don't know if my statement made sense, but the point is that he has questionable moral character.

Electoral votes are stupid bullshit, and until they're done away with I refuse to vote.

No.
Not registered. Never been registered and, therefore, never voted in the 18 years I have been eligible.
Living in one of the red-est of red states (Utah) and one with no clout in the electoral college (which is another whole mess) my vote makes no difference. Therefore I don't waste my time.
Another reason is that I believe any politician that has any chance to be elected is basically no different than their opponent. Sure everyone claims things, but they are just pandering to the idiot masses so they can get elected and then do whatever the fuck they have on the agenda to get them paid (by lobbyist, corporations etc).

Based on both candidate's having very different economic/health care policies than the current one, there's going to be a lot of change.
i'm jaded, as you can tell.

its crazy to think there would be voter apathy in this day and age
obama might be just a symbolic icon to some, but it will mark a new chapter in politics
america can regain all its credibility in 5 seconds
my opinion of course

True IMHO.
If Obama gets in I will finally be able to hear the phrase 'leader of the free world' without getting a bad taste in my mouth.

Voted a week ago. Was suppossed to be out of town tomorrow, but my trip got cancelled.
About 10 pages of judges to either select 'no' or 'yes'. An 'all no/yes' option would have been a lot quicker. For those I let my 9 month old daughter pick yes or no. She liked pushing on the screen.
