Multi-tasking is not hard to do for me. I am doing my job at the same time.

so you are stealing company time then?

woah... what?

What does the military have to do with you being a responsible citizen again? I think I missed that. Sure, you failed the physical to enter the military. You can respond with what part of the physical you failed if you want, I'd like to hear, but that still has no bearing on this response:

the military wants fit individuals, or individuals it can make fit... ones that won't keel over during basic training and can go on to fight wars, if something about you made them feel you were not fit, oh well. Say too bad, and good luck to those that can enter the service. But that has nothing to do with your ability to vote.

You're simply pushing off the blame from yourself, off of your desire to not put effort into educating yourself about politics. Not even voting local and state? Terrible. Way to represent about 30% of the US, the portion that, for the most part, just don't care enough and have no desire to actually learn a thing or two about government, yet continue to bitch and moan because the country goes down the wrong path. You can actually help make a difference by voting state and local if you try.

Me neither. Today is the last day for me to get it I think so I can have it postmarked by the 4th. In my case I had to have it forwarded from my Dad's house in Tacoma to northern California, he sent it over a week ago but it still hasn't come.

I follow this election closely for two years for nothing.. WA doesn't matter for the electoral college but I did want to vote on some of the initiatives we have.

You said "voting is a waste of time".

so how do you get i don't have time to register from that?

You had also said you were "too busy with your 40-hour work week."
:violin;

i never said that either. funny how people are putting words in my mouth to make agruments

Just because you edited a post doesn't mean you didn't say it.
Time to move on, you don't vote we get it.

hmmm, lazy. lets see, i have a 40 hour per week job and do not collect welfare or anything else for free. yeah i am lazy

OK, so you mentioned this as proof that you aren't "lazy." fair enough

The implication is there, though. So, if you aren't lazy, as is 98% of the remaining workforce with their 40 hour work week, what does keep you "too busy to vote?"

Don't get me wrong--I'm not so much criticizing your decision not to vote, just your thin excuses. ;)

to me it is not thin, it is little more personal than that. at the time i was living with abusive father and needed an out. had to find another way out from him. so that is why it is personal and my lack of voting

Why wouldn't you vote? It's not like it's hard to do. It takes maybe an hour of your time if you're voting by mail and really read up on all of the ballot initiatives.

So, b/c you were wronged by the gov't in the past, you don't want a say in your future? Makes ZERO sense.

other then the possibility of some 1/2 white dude winning there really isnt anything abnormally special or important about this election

No, actually, he's right. The ONLY thing really different about this election is the fact that Obama is half Black. The FIRST African-American to be elected president...and he's only half Black...I guess it's a good first step.

Otherwise, we go through the same bullshit every 4 years where "MY candidate is better than YOUR candidate, and if you disagree, you hate America."

Technically he?s NOT even African-American; he was born in the USA making him plain old American. If he were an African-American he would have had to emigrate from Africa and then apply for and be granted US citizenship which if that was the case he would be ineligible for the POTUSA anyway for not being a natural born citizen.

I'm not voting. I live in Alabama, so it doesnt matter. People think Obama is the anti-christ here.
