Not registered. Never been registered and, therefore, never voted in the 18 years I have been eligible.

Living in one of the red-est of red states (Utah) and one with no clout in the electoral college (which is another whole mess) my vote makes no difference. Therefore I don't waste my time.

Another reason is that I believe any politician that has any chance to be elected is basically no different than their opponent. Sure everyone claims things, but they are just pandering to the idiot masses so they can get elected and then do whatever the fuck they have on the agenda to get them paid (by lobbyist, corporations etc).

taking a closer look to puncture the fairytale fantasy of obama is what is beyond the pale for some i guess. he talks a good game. but when it comes to reality, its not so good is it. he is the kind of person who consorts with the likes of reverend wright when he thought nothing personal/political was at stake. what a person does when they think they aren't in the spotlight is revealing. and with obama and his self proclaimed personal spiritual adviser of a decade, it shows he isn't quite what he pretends to be.
 
assuming i got my absentee ballot request in on time.. i will, as kang and kodos say in the simpsons treehouse of horror, throwing away my vote by voting independent. i don't like mccain or obama, but my state (maryland) is basically guaranteed a democrat win.

again, if you're so unhappy with the politics of your area, the most important thing for you to do is vote in local races and policies. Your vote will count so much more, and will go a long way towards changing that climate if that's what you feel is necessary.

yeah no shit. campaign promises and real policies are often quite different, although typically just exaggerated.
That, and the whole issue of, oh I dunno, the President has far less power than half the country seems to imagine? Political figurehead that is important but mostly just a scapegoat for government.
Blame congress, and be mindful of who you vote for in terms of Congress. That's where the real power is, and where a good 3/4 of the blame for the last 8 years truly belongs.
Blaming a single person, and not educating yourself, is far easier.

I already voted Obama last week, and voted to kick out my state's only Republican senator.
