I encourage right-wingers to do the only thing they can to get the republican party out of the hands of the crooks who took it over, by not voting for them. Have a nice day away from the polls. The republicans know there are big problems with their party, that the sales message 'integrity, small government, etc.' does not match the policy 'GIMMIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'.
Republicans are currently without a party, because they differ on the crooks running the republicans and the democrats on principes and policies.
The question is whether they'll keep putting the crooks in power, or get their party back.
The social republicans/religious right know that they're being used for their votes; David Kuo's book reveals how the politicians think they're all 'nuts' and 'crazies'.
The fiscal republicans know how their party talks the talk but does not walk the walk, even while they see them do things like the Terry Schiavo fiasco.
Politics makes strange bedfellows, but these two groups may be at the point of waking up in the morning and seeing who is next to them in bed in horror.
And they deserve the problems, I have to say, for making such compromises to get power. Everything is going just as badly as predicted - by the left.
Hopefully, the nation will shift back towards democrats, and then the money will shift away from the republicans, which pays for all the attack ads that make people hate liberals.
It's funny, the nation likes the democrats they elect - an exception is Jimmy Carter, but face it, he was a rebound relationship and inherited huge problems. It's the attacks.
