I am sick and tired of our politicians and their BS. Republican leadership is full of sh1t, and I can't bring myself to vote for them again. Democratic leadership is virtually non-existant, spineless bunch of whiney babies who do not have the balls to stand up for what they believe.

I am sitting out this election. We'll see what 2008 looks like.

No!! Why would anyone who has a chance to vote not VOTE!!!

On the Democrats it sounds more like you need to have your ears examined and less about the "supposed" problems you fantasize about.

Why? There's nobody to vote for.

I have no intent of voting on November 8th - the polls won't be open.

I do intend to vote on Tuesday November 7th though - that's election day.

I'm at college, so I'm not registered in this area to vote. When I thought of doing this, I found that the registration deadline had passed a few days prior. :(

The democrats are divided on what correct public policy is---but right now it does not matter---because they can't have a say in any branch of government. And actually the dems have been pretty responsible---they could have tried to obstruct and paralise government---and only take a stand on really bad stuff.

If you listen to indivual Republicans---you will discover they are as divided---except for the cock sure GWB---who sells us bad public policy on all fronts---and for lack of
anything to push good public policy---the GOP uses its majority to push bad policy through.----and things no self respecting true republican would support like defecit spending, foreign adventures, a big brother government that keeps growing larger, and optional wars.

But you are just buying into the Karl Rove kool aid that the dems don't have better alternate programs---and if they get control of even one branch of government you will see
two very positive trends---(1) These really stinking GWB agenda's will stop because it will die in that branch of congress (2) You will see some investigations into exactly how the truth has been surpressed.----which is likely to return the GOP to being the GOP---and a better party for it.--able to work for a national agenda--and not the agenda of a failed president.

Which is exactly what the neo-cons fear---which is why they say the dems have no programs--in the hopes that those so disgustedy by the GOP will not vote at all. After all, if they won't vote for the GOP its one thing---its twice as bad when they vote against the GOP whose programs disgust them.

I encourage right-wingers to do the only thing they can to get the republican party out of the hands of the crooks who took it over, by not voting for them. Have a nice day away from the polls. The republicans know there are big problems with their party, that the sales message 'integrity, small government, etc.' does not match the policy 'GIMMIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'.

Republicans are currently without a party, because they differ on the crooks running the republicans and the democrats on principes and policies.

The question is whether they'll keep putting the crooks in power, or get their party back.

The social republicans/religious right know that they're being used for their votes; David Kuo's book reveals how the politicians think they're all 'nuts' and 'crazies'.

The fiscal republicans know how their party talks the talk but does not walk the walk, even while they see them do things like the Terry Schiavo fiasco.

Politics makes strange bedfellows, but these two groups may be at the point of waking up in the morning and seeing who is next to them in bed in horror.

And they deserve the problems, I have to say, for making such compromises to get power. Everything is going just as badly as predicted - by the left.

Hopefully, the nation will shift back towards democrats, and then the money will shift away from the republicans, which pays for all the attack ads that make people hate liberals.

It's funny, the nation likes the democrats they elect - an exception is Jimmy Carter, but face it, he was a rebound relationship and inherited huge problems. It's the attacks.

I am not voting this election.

I've always been voting in the past for the "lesser of two evils." However, that is just getting old.

Why are we always putting the lesser of two evils in office? Why can't we put someone we like in office that stands for something other than their own double talk? Is politics that screwed up? (I know the answer)

I hope more and more people are like me and quit voting... The low voter turnout would be a nice indication to our government and politicians that the common American is getting sick of their s#%^ and they better start representing the people or we are gonna bring pitchforks and guns to the capital. Provided we are still allowed to have guns. (Which was the purpose of the 2nd amendment)

"We the people, for the people, by the people"

Good for you, Brandonb. However, I have to tell you, the pitchforks and 2nd amendment idea is fantasy and impossible. Technology and population control have developed to the point that there can never again be the idea of revolution in a nation like the US. It's why the people had better darn well get informed and vote for things to protect democracy.

Things that get corporate money out of elections, public campaign financing are a great start.

You are right, but there can be domestic insurgencies like there are in Iraq. We know how well our government is dealing with that.

Not that I'd ever want to see that day... But you're right, we better try to change the system by voting. I just don't really see myself voting anytime soon unless there is a 3rd party which somehow gets noticed. That seems so unlikely today, as both Repubs and Democrats will not allow it. They will unite against anybody else entering the picture to continue with their dirty business.

I'm not voting on 11-8, I'm voting on 11-7 which is the day of the elections. If you do not vote then you need to STFU when things don't turn out like you want them to be.

the NJ senate race is too close for me to not vote.

I don't really like Menendez that much, but when it comes to congress, I nearly always vote for whichever party is *not* in the white house.

different parties in control of congress and the white house = FTW. it's the only way we're ever going to see washington control spending.

I'll be voting. Our governor race is on off year elections, so that's kind of the incentive.

Well the average sheeple has no business voting. If you aren't informed on the candidates, the issues, and where each stands on them, you don't belong at the ballot box.

It is rather alarming how many people simply vote, without a clue.

If you are tired of Republicans and Democrats, why don't you throw your vote at an alternative party or independent candidates? (Or are they all nuts?)

Move to North Korea, where the politicians will accomodate you by telling you what to do.

I will never, ever understand people too pathetic to "bother" voting. They usually tend to be the biggest whiners as well.

If you can't find a major party candidate in line with your views, vote for a minor party one that does-write in your vote if necessary-wrtie in your own name if you honestly believe that only you are suitable to hold that government position, but DON'T act like a rock.

The Nuttier they are the better. If all the dissaffected Voters began Voting Independent or Third Party The Democrats and Republicans would receive the message loud and clear as they saw others affecting their chances of winning. It would be like a shot across the bow.
