Why? Unless they start paying dividends then their profits aren't directly enriching shareholders are they?
The point is remember when people said that everyone already switched to AT&T and that Verizon doesn't need the iPhone? Those are IMPRESSIVE numbers. I wonder if the Nexus phones will even break 10 million in the US.

Haven't checked their share price have you?
That's my point though, you don't make any money on them unless you sell them. With a dividend you get a share of the profits anyway.
The only important thing is if sales stay high. Android's sales have been consistently high, iPhone's always jump with a new release, hopefully they keep the momentum going.
This year:
iP5
iPad3
15" MBA
Refresh of Macs, MBP, MBA, Apple TV
Maybe Apple TV's
I sent SJ an email, begging for Apple to make a BT enabled watch that linked with the iPhone that would display texts, stock quotes and email when you're on the run, and don't want to drag out your phone. Think about it, how many times a day do you grab your phone out of your pocket, wouldn't it be cool to just turn your wrist and see the same info?

Well that exists just on a different platform.
I'm really trying to wrap my brain around what you wrote here. So you are saying "money" is the only asset that has value?
...
Not really, I've been watching the sector pretty carefully.
clearly you have zero concept of how capital appreciation works in equity investments. Good thing you have a bloke that manages your money.I have no problem with the tone of your post, don't worry.
I'm not talking from a personal point of view, I have a bloke that handles stuff like that. As long as his figures look good I don't care where he puts the money.
Surely though Apples profits mean nothing to shareholders as they don't have a direct link to shareholders wealth. Yes they may have an indirect effect on market confidence but that's affected by many things.
Getting a dividend is not the same as selling off part of your holdings.
This isn't even special anymore it happens like every year lol.

Apple now worth more than Greece. LOL.
Apple makes up a little less than 5% of America's GDP.
What?
No what I'm saying is that Apples profits are irrelevant to shareholders, what matters to them is the share price, and that only matters when you buy or sell them.
