Please. Americans hate themselves. That is why they keep voting for this wall street scum even though they halfway know that doing so will hurt them in the long run. It is no different than smoking cigarettes and eating PUFA and carb-laden crap. They do it because it feels good to kill themselves a little bit at a time. They vote for Hillbama because it feels good despite knowing that each time they pull that lever they are cutting off another piece of their coutnry and flushing it down the drain.

Looks like things are moving toward Trump ATM. I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread about it. Silver's Now cast has this at close to 50/50 now where it was 80-20 just 4 days ago.

Clinton inherited the blank canvas of a post Cold War world, and was given the opportunity to redefine America's role in it. He also had the once in a generation emergent market opportunity aligned to the dawn of the Information Age. I believe he failed to seize the moment and provide true leadership, but people like him because the economy was strong riding on the tech bubble and he played Fleetwood Mac songs at campaign events. Shrug. He was cool. He was politically brilliant. He was a poor leader.

Having said that, Clinton was still far better than W and criticism of the Clintons does not necessitate advocacy for Trump.
