Please. Americans hate themselves. That is why they keep voting for this wall street scum even though they halfway know that doing so will hurt them in the long run. Clinton inherited the blank canvas of a post Cold War world, and was given the opportunity to redefine America's role in it. He also had the once in a generation emergent market opportunity aligned to the dawn of the Information Age. I believe he failed to seize the moment and provide true leadership, but people like him because the economy was strong riding on the tech bubble and he played Fleetwood Mac songs at campaign events. Shrug. He was cool. He was politically brilliant. He was a poor leader.

Having said that, Clinton was still far better than W and criticism of the Clintons does not necessitate advocacy for Trump.
