Not to put too fine a point on it, but SOMEONE buys her books and goes to her speeches and watches her on TV. And, by all accounts, it's a fairly large number of people who do so. Maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm betting very few of those people voted Democrat in the last election. You might not like her, but a fair number of conservative apparently do. Is it fair to tar all of you with that same brush? I suppose not, but it's hard to feel sorry for a group of people who do the same thing to "the other guys" all the time.

Just go take a look at the freepers' discussion threads about it. Not even 1% of the people who post there have in any way criticized her for it. It is almost universally a love fest, as usual.

I'll go on record here. What Ann Coulter said was wrong and inappropriate.

But isn't it interesting that so many of those offended here have no difficulty with derogatory name calling as long as it's directed at conservatives.

Derogatory it is not, understated more likely. But surely deserved!

The difference is I'm posting on the internet, and Ann Coulter is speaking at a Republican fundraiser, with microphones and tv cameras. I'm not dumb enough to say something that outrageous in front of a microphone. She has made a career out of bashing liberals with outrageous comments, and this time she went too far, and it bit her in the a**.

The Democrats should use her just as the right has used Michael Moore, and use some of her inflammatory comments in TV ads tying her to Republican candidates.

Maher didn't wish Cheney was assasinated, he said is if Cheney had been assasinated it probably would result in less Americans dying in Iraq since Cheney is the driving force behind our continued involvement in Iraq.
